  1. Wow! Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. The PSU does have an 8 pin for the CPUs and everything else is properly accounted for and powered as well. I do have Win10 Pro running on it, so I suspect that isn't the issue. After asking around at work, I was informed that the 380Watt PSU was a replacement after the older one kicked the bucket (my buddy said it was "just laying around") so I don't think anyone noticed it was only running one CPU for a long time. I'll try to go pick up a beefier PSU and see if that makes a difference. Stay tuned for updates! Thanks!
  2. Hey gang, I have a bit of weird problem with my new-to-me workstation only seeing 1 of 2 CPUs on my motherboard. I inherited from work a tower that houses an ASUS Z8NA-D6 board with dual Xeon E5650's, 24GB of DDR3 and a 380Watt Antec EarthWatts power supply. (I know, lucky me) I've added an older SSD and thrown Win10 on it, it boots fine. However, Windows and the BIOS only sees 1 of the 2 Xeon CPUs. I've tried swapping them around incase one of them is dead, but I get the same result both ways. As well I've checked to see if one of the CPUs is disabled in the BIOS. Now, ASUS recco's the board needs a minimum 450Watt PSU, I suspect this could be the solution be the problem. Anyone had experience with anything like this? Would a board do this (disable a CPU) if it didn't have enough power for both? Many thank yous.
