  1. I updated the BIOS last year. I will make sure it is at correct version before I buy the CPU. Any Corsair alternatives you would suggest for the cooling? I want to keep the theme as long as it doesn't impact the performance. It's okay if it costs a little more.
  2. I have a 970 Evo Plus for games and I'm planning to get another one eventually for the second slot, the other SSD is an older SATA one. The HDD is there just because I screwed it so tight that I can't get it out anymore lol. Thanks for the cooler recommendation. I mainly want an AIO for the aesthetics to be fair. I have a bunch of Corsair RGB fans and other crap in there so I will probably try to keep the theme
  3. Hi friends. I want to upgrade my PC without swapping out everything and I was thinking on replacing my R7 3700X for a 5800X3D and a 2070S for a RX 7900XT. The reason behind those two is that this CPU is apparently one of the best options I could get for the AM4 platform and the GPU is the best one I could find that can fit in my case ( up to 300mm length). I mostly play esports games like League of Legends, Valorant and battle royals but I also like to play AAA games on high settings every now and then. My main display is only 1080p but it's a fast 360hz one, I want to have the most FPS possible in competitive games. The parts that I have right now: - Asus ROG B450-F - Corsair Vengeance 16GB running at 3200mhz - Wraith Prism cooler ( ready to replace it for an AIO) - Corsair RM850x PSU - 2 SSDs and an old HDD Please tell me if the parts I want are compatible with the stuff I have. If you want to recommend me other parts I will consider that too. The goal is to make use of as many parts that I already have while still making a worthwhile upgrade. Thanks in advance.
  4. It was the mouse. I don't know if the sensor crapped out or something happened with the connection but after swapping out the mouse for another one the stuttering stopped completely. Could possibly be the usb port too that's faulty. Either way, it doesn't matter, I have extra mice laying around. I tried so many things and didn't think of the simplest one. Thanks everyone for your suggestions anyway. Appreciated.
  5. That is November's driver, so not the latest one. It was the first thing I installed on new Windows. So far there is actually no stuttering but for some reason my secondary monitor feels a bit slower. I will download some games later on and test further throughout the night, just to make sure the stuttering doesn't return.
  6. I downloaded 526.86 and that's what I'm on right now. I am testing it right now, not sure if that's where the problem lies anymore.
  7. It only stutters when I move the cursor around or when I'm turning around ingame. I made a clean reinstall of windows overnight just to be sure but it didn't help.
  8. The PC is clean enough, not pristine but no dust bunnies. The PSU is Corsairs 850W 80+gold.
  9. Ok, so after a while the issues have returned. I updated the BIOS and ran the disk check, all is good. The temperatures in the system are fine, in fact I changed the paste last month. I actually think that issue may be in new Nvidia drivers. Another user in this forum has same issues on his Nvidia card after updating to latest drivers.
  10. I updated my 2070 SUPER to the same drivers and I am experiencing the same issues.
  11. Turning on DOCP in the BIOS improved the situation massively. UFO test still detects browser stuttering but so far I'm satisfied. I will try to play some games and see what happens but I think this might have been it. Honestly all this time I haven't messed with the BIOS at all and the PC worked fine for years. Can these settings just change by themselves?
  12. I first noticed it playing Warzone 2 but I quickly dismissed it thinking it has to do something with the game's terrible optimization but then later the same night I realized it was happening while I was playing Civ6. Now I realize it is happening in browser, windows, everywhere basically. As I move my mouse around the screen it just lags or stutters, it is hard to explain. I don't really know where to go from here. I just play games, my knowledge on computers is pretty basic otherwise. Would a clean wipe of Windows be of any use in this kind of situation or is it something to do with hardware? I reseated the RAM but it didn't change anything. The computer is around 2-3 years old, built it myself and never had a problem with it. For what it counts the specs I can name are R7 3700X, 2070 SUPER, 16GB of Corsair RAM and an ASUS Strix Mobo B450F if I am not mistaken.
  13. Problem solved friends. Updated it and it took a few tries to boot up but now it's up and looking stable. Cheers!
  14. The bios version is 2901 x64. I just checked with the old cpu inside.
