  1. I have no clue what a "Turbo write" is supposed to mean xD But I don't think it has anything to do with powering down the HDD's.
  2. Sorry, wish I could help u. I know how to do it in TrueNAS but I have no experience with Unraid. Maybe try to create a topic in the appropriate forum ?
  3. Can somebody from the LTT team (probably Jake) explain why they used XFS for this server ? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. XFS is a file system made for high performance, not reliable storage. Why not just use ZFS ? You guys mentioned multiple times that it is only gigabit and is not meant to be high performant (obviously) then why use XFS ? You had another TrueNAS tab open in your browser, so you know it exists.
  4. Sorry for the late reply, it was a mining virus. (Oops)
  5. If i'm not wrong then you have to go to your storage pools. Select the dataset that you want to open up, click on the three dots and then click Edit ACL. After that in the "Default ACL Options" select OPEN, scroll down to the bottom, mark the "Apply permissions recursively" box (just to be sure) and click save. Hope it helps! Fabian
  6. Does anyone know what kind of os they are running?
  7. So i did everything you said, chkdsk gave nothing, system file checker did his thing (dont know if it did something) but i download a trial of mcafee total protection and it found 15 threats. I also found a virus myself because there was a process eating up 30% of my CPU . And now in origins i get tiny framedrops but totally playable and way better then before. Thank you sir. Fabian
  8. Oooh oops, The first thing i did when my pc would boot was uninstalling AI Suite 3 I've also already resetted my bios. Ok thank you for your help i will do the other things you recommended. Fabian
  9. Hello, A few days ago my pc started acting weird, i never got any frame drops in games but now it started to do so. I first noticed it in AC Origins, my fps is always around 70 and i never had any problems. But now i get frame drops in origins, but also in benchmarks. My CPU and GPU are always 100% in use during games so there isn't any bottlenecking. I dont know if this has to do something with it but i also think my memory controller is broken, because i was going to try some auto oc in AI Suite 3 and i needed to reboot my pc for the installation to finish and then it stopped booting. When it booted the fans started spinning for around 3 sec and then it turned off. It repeated this endlessly. I figuered out it had to do something with my RAM and switched RAM sticks, that worked but if i tried my RAM sticks in another pc it also worked. Then i switched my RAM back and it worked. Then after another boot if had the same problem again, i have 2 sticks so i switched lanes and that is working for now. My speqs are attached. Also sorry for my bad english, it's not my native tongue. Fabian
