  1. https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3820932 these newegg combos are nuts, highly recommended. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487261 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125962 next, throw in a 1060 or a 580, bringing your total to around 620, and add 100 for windows, bringing you to 720 230 for storage, case and psu should be fine. Good luck.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epIlB49SNTI&t=439s saw this from linus a while ago and realized i can get 2 xeon x5670s for less then $50, thats 12 cores, 24 threads, at almost 3 Ghz base. also, I can snag 32 gb or ddr3 ecc for only $50 I thought tons of cores was good for CAD and rendering but his cinebench score was pretty bad... I use mostly fusion 360 and 3ds max. would this CPU config work well for this? My current rig I use for most stuff is an i5 6600k, so would I even get performance games? Thanks a ton. I'm only doing this because I've been recovering old parts and trying to frankestein together a rig with them, or sell them and make something with the money from it, so I know it doesn't make sense but I want to do it anyway.
  3. I will keep this simple. So I have a relatively bad mouse, and since ebay is my friend, I'm willing to get a nicer, used mouse. My main three contenders are the g502 Proteus spectrum, the deathadder elite, and the steelseries rival 700. Any suggestions on which, or other options? Thanks. Note: I have small/ average hand size and I use an in between of palm and claw grip.
  4. You were correct. I thought that would be under graphics, not display, but whatever,
  5. I will keep this brief. My system is an i5 6600k non overclocked and a overclocked rx 460 on a gigabyte z170 a pro. Storage is a samsung 960 evo and ram is 8 gigs of crucial balistix sport. I had an i5 6500 and an un overclocked rx 460, and frame rates capped at 30 fps in for honor. now I have my new build, and it still caps at thirty. Help please!

And yes, everything is spinning and in the correct direction. Thanks for the help.

I think ill have to check my temps in game, but if i see 90s there then I'm switching to a new cooler

    that makes more sense

I both took off the plastic and put on thermal paste. I'm not exactly sure which deepcool gammaxx it is but it looks strikingly similar to a hyper 212 evo. In the past I had it for a short while on an i5 6500, and nothing exploded their.

    100C

Well well well, aren't I in a fun situation. That sentence included a lot of sarcasm. I got an i5 6600k of ebay, slapped a brand new deepcool gammaxx cooler on it and loaded up intel extreme burn test. Then I hit 100 degrees celcius on my cpu. To my knowledge the previous owner of this used i5 6600k did not send it to me overclocked. My question is, is this healthy, if not how can I check to see if the cpu is overclocked, and if it isn't, am I just screwed, or can a new cpu cooler or a water cooler fix this. Thanks! Note: My case is a rosewill callenger S with two stock fan in the front and one stock in the back. It is sitting under my desk.
  11. I was about to correct myself, thanks. Can't believe I missed that. Thanks!
  12. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure if it has the right mounting hardware for an i5 6600k/lga 1151 socket. If that isn't true, please let me know.
  13. Well, I have a predicament. I have a msi z170 a pro motherboard, and I get my fancy used i5 6600k off eBay, and I smugly fire up Intel extreme burn test. and I skyrocket up to 100C on maximum. Not good. I'm using a deepcool gammaxx 400, and I'm wondering if anybody has a cooling suggestion under eighty dollars US to help improve this. Also, let me point out that I'm using hardware monitor to record this, and I'm not sure if that maxes out at 100c. Thanks! PS, I have never watercooled before. So while I'm not against it, I would like an AIO that is easy to install.
