PayPal Problem - Some payments not going through   20 May 2017

PayPal appears to be experiencing problems at the moment, resulting in people being billed but the transaction showing as failed on our end. If you have signed up for a new subscription, and the transaction is showing as pending on the forum, so you haven't gained floatplane access yet, and you have waited more than 10 minutes after purchasing it in PayPal, please go to https://linustechtips.com/main/failed_transaction_fix.php and follow the instructions. If you have any issues, please send me a PM (hover over my picture or username and click "message"), including the transaction ID, and I will try and sort it out for you.

  1. answer is no unless you got a multi pack. But just get a 2nd key for 15$ on http://www.bonanza.com ... i don't know how legal the site is but i got windows 10 licenses from them and they worked 100% but this said some of the keys may be volume licenses , dreamspark or academic licenses.
  2. I had this issue on one of the computers at my office. Have you tried creating a new profile? if the new profile fails also then its more than just the registry. Try this On a 2nd computer running windows 10 copy the folder called "Default" from the C:\Users\ to a USB drive on your computer that is having the login issue rename the Default folder to DefaultOld and copy the folder off the drive into C:\Users try logging in and if it works then your good to go if not then there are more issues like corrupt registry for that user profile what you can just create a new user profile and copy all the data over to the new user profile.
  3. Video tells you how to take out the screws even if they are destroyed. You can also get replacement screws on amazon.
  4. open it up and see if the battery is expanded if it is then you know 100% its the battery. There is also a possibility that it is the MagSafe DC-In board that could of died but since you get lights then it is more likely the battery. But open it up take a look inside and go from there. If there are any apple repair places near by see if they can test your battery and if they say its good then you know its something else. the 2011 Mac book pro uses the same battery as Mid 2009, Mid 2010, Early 2011, Late 2011 and Mid 2012. i got my replacement for $60 USD on amazon so ~$90 NZD.
  5. It sounds like the battery is DEAD or has too many dead cells. the last time you had it up was it saying the battery needs to be replaced or in bad condition? Some laptops use the battery as a pass threw to keep power at a steady voltage so if the battery won't give good power to the MBP will freak out. Here is the one that is now in my MBP 2011 http://a.co/aAJ9OQ0 or you can go with apple https://support.apple.com/mac-notebooks/repair/service/pricing
  6. lost password

Some newer laptops use the battery if its not accessible from the outside. so you disconnect the battery contacts then wait 30 seconds and then reconnect and it resets the bios. i have only seen this work on some laptops. Here is an other possible fix https://www.manualslib.com/manual/483179/Acer-Aspire-S3-391.html?page=165
