go for a mic, @alby800 just bought a samson meteor and it sounds really really good for the price, then after you have bought your mic i would buy a better pair of headphones, something from senheiser or a big company that is known for making good products

The Strix cards completely turn off their fans when it's idle. The result is that it will be completely noiseless, but it will let itself run a bit hotter as well.

It does not damage the card in any way to have it idle warm.

I finally found something that could be usefull, there is a microsoft program to fix some Modern UI App problems here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/4/F24D0C03-4181-4E5B-A23B-5C3A6B5974E3/apps.diagcab

it's from this microsoft help forum with a similar problem(I think). https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-system/missing-tiles-in-windows-8/3ddff615-9504-40fb-a5a1-64e1500be423

Maybe this will solve the problem might it return. Have a nice day!

You don't have to get a wrist rest that physically attaches to your keyboard, there are a lot of nice ones that just have a non-slip bottom and sit in front of the keyboard, if you get a good quality on that you like, you'll probably be able to use it with any keyboard you get for the rest of your life. Like ExconHD said, ducky do make some good ones that are real leather, its a good choice because you get the rigidity and support of a plastic one without the cheap feeling of plastic.
Here is a link to a ducky wrist rest: http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=91

OMG Corsair trying to be a little like CoolerMaster.  If I needed a case right now I'd definitely consider one of these and so would anybody who is a gamer that plays 1st person shooters and wants something themed after that.  Gratz to Corsair for bringing out some cases that actually look like more than a box.

... and hahahah ... oh look at the geeks who love their square boring boxes from Corsair chiming in. LOL  U MAD?

The GTX 760 is a bit faster, but 270X is cheaper. From what you're saying the 760 might actually be better for you, but take a look at some 270Xs. The Sapphire Toxic Edition is pretty cheap right now and it looks amazing!

The DCUII is released. Im not sure but I think it has been recalled so id check before you buy one but if you got a Twin Frozr it would be just as good. If i were you id go off of price/asthetics.

Well of course their is a difference. Warranty, looks, perhaps performance. I'd go with the Direct CUII over MSI any day of the week though.

Van Der Shah reacted to Opsilon in 8350 vs i7 4770k
intel's 4 cores do just under 8 amd cores when you don't have hyper threading, if the application can use all resources of your CPU, but the intel quad cores are better once you have hyper threading, and on some occasions they can go more than 30% in the performance department.

if you do not mind a higher electrical bill ( in some countries price of power used is 3 or 4 times higher than the US ) get the 8350, because it has better multi threaded performance, and this is the way to go for modern applications and games, if you care about power bills, an i5 4670k is a good alternative.
The i7 gives you the best of both worlds, and that is why they are expensive, you will have more headroom for multitasking on 8 threads.
For the i5 vs i7... the i5 is the same chip with hyper threading turned off ( can't turn on ever ), and it has 2 mb less lv3 cache. So when you are playing games, you will see maybe up to 10 FPS difference. but in tasks that require all the processing power of your CPU at same clocks, the i7 can be 30% faster.
The limiting factor is Windows that has power restrictions for multi core CPU-s, that is why a lot of the time an 8350 can lose to an i5, but in reality it is a bit faster when you use all of its resources.

If you want the best go with the i7, if you do not care about the best and want to save money get the 8350 ( if you canre about your power bill get the i5 )
