Well I always found the iPod useful for one thing: If you want/need an iOS device, but you don't want to pay the expense of an iPhone. ( The cheapest iPhone you can buy new from Apple is a iPhone 7 at $450?) I know there are a couple of things that are only on iOS and not on android for some reason...

EDIT: A regular ipad is $329, but maybe your use case needs to be more portable then a tablet.

Why are these bullshit trends necessary? They're so fucking trivial and a waste of time. Ohhh nooooo!!! I have a bezel at the top of my phone!!!! Said no one. Oh waaaait, I know. They have to do stuff like this because there's nothing else they can really do. Phones getting stronger won't bring any noticable improvements, better screens won't bring any noticeable improvements, smartphone cameras are already pretty damn good, etc. So instead of worrying about real stuff like batteries and build quality (because those would make the phone last longer and therefore, less people buying new phones), they have to do this kind of crap.
 
Also, sad to see Samsung breaking down and copying Apple again (like they tried and failed with the s6). Now all they need to do is remove the SD card and headphone jack and they can be JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! Yay!!!!
 
What am I gonna do when I have to replace my S5? What phone can I even get with a replaceable battery, expandable storage and a headphone jack?

I'm glad they finally decided to be sensible and sell it on as many platforms as possible.
 
Exclusives only harm consumers and lock people into platforms they might not necessarily want to buy into.

Yet one more reason I'm glad I use Android instead of iOS.  Apple is far too restrictive of what you can do with their products.
