  1. then shouldn't it work with the adaptor from hdmi to dvi-d?
  2. yeah I forgot to mention that I bought https://www.amazon.com/Importer520-Plated-Female-Dvi-d-Adaptor/dp/B00CCVKQRM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1492830802&sr=8-8&keywords=hdmi+to+dvi-d after I noticed the hdmi was not working (still didn't work after the adapter came today)
  3. so this might seem dumb, but I tried connecting my new Dell Inspiron 7567 to a 144hz monitor(with HDMI 2.0 cable), but it would not work. I checked everywhere in the Nvidia settings to see what was wrong, but all I could see was a mx refresh rate of 75 hertz on low resolutions
  4. I got a new CPU with inboard graphics though so
  5. It works guys thanks for the suggestion kirashi
  6. Doesn't matter In this case.
  7. Yes it is lol
  8. That's racist
  9. Alright so right now I am connecting the power button connector from another case but leaving everything as it is and seeing if it works
  10. So I built a computer early last year. Internals were a gtx 970, fx6300, 8 gb of ram, a corsair case and cx 600 power supply, and finally some cheap msi motherboard from a local store. Until a few weeks ago, it was working just fine, but it fell over one day and that was it. The LED's flashed on for only half a second after the power supply was plugged in to the wall, and then the power button would stop working. So, I thought this was a psu issue and replaced it, and nothing. Then I proceeded to replace the CPU and the motherboard, and still nothing. I'm at a loss for what to do right now and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
