  1. Thank you for those suggestions. No cabinet, ~ 20cm to next object...so, I guess it won't help that much. It's a industrial board, so I doubt there are settings for that. That's probably the only way I could get a better cooling, but the only intake in this case is a rather small 40mm one. I hoped to get a better CPU heatsink, but I can't find something fitting.
  2. I already asked this in Air Cooling (CPU Cooler for BGA 1364) but propably noone could help me so I decided to try it one more time. In my Inter-Tech SC-4100 NAS Case it is extremely hard to cool the i7 4700eq on my MI980 while using the NAS to also encode TV recordings. It hits almost all the time 100°C and throttles when encoding. So now I need another cooler for the BGA 1364 mobile processor with mounting holes at 51*51mm. I also should be able to mount a AIO rad (80mm) outside of the case. Because inside are just ~4,5cm for a cooler (see picture). Hopefully someone here has a solution for me, I'm kinda desperate...
  3. Good evening, i have built a NAS for myself last week and got in trouble with the CPU cooler. I bought a cheap MI980 of ebay and a new Inter-Tech SC-4100. On the MI980 is a jet-like-loud 6 cm CPU-Cooler that i would like to change into a silent one. So i bought a Noctua NF-A6x25 PWM but its too high so it wont fit. Is it possible to buy a complete new CPU-Cooler for the BGA-1364 Socket instead of just changing the fan? I couldn't find any proper cooler... Thank you!
  4. I would prefer something like the G10 but whats about noise? And wich aio would u use? And if i would do custom loop, how much would this cost? Greets
  5. Hi everyone, for the beginning: I'm from germany and this is my first post in this forum, but I watch LTT on YouTube since 2010 I think. So last year I got a wonderful new PC (X99, 5280k, Asus GTX 980 Ti Strix), build in a BeQuiet Silent Base 800 cooled by the 3 premounted fans (2x 140mm front, 1x 120mm rear) and a additional 140mm Silent Wings 3 in the top. The CPU is cooled by a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3. Everything is fine when using it "in office mode" -> low temps, nearly zero noise (only the fan of the PSU is running). When it comes to gaming the PC could run all case and CPU fans and it would'nt bother me. But when the fans of the Asus GTX 980 Ti needs to kick in it is clearly audible while wearing a headset. This happens most of the time when playing games like Overwatch or BF4 at Ultra on HD. So i cranked the case fans up in hope of a cooler GFX but it dropped only 1-2 degrees to around 72°C. But the gfx's fans stayed at above 50%. I don't think, that these temps are to high. The only thing i'm concerd about is the fact, that my CPU gets nearly as hot (52°C) as it is, when it is stressed via HeavyLoad at 100%, while only used at around 20%. So my question is: Are there good ways to cool that GTX 980 Ti beast while keeping the nearly complete silent operation in "office mode"? I thought at things like NZXT Kraken G10 or the Corsair HG10.
