  1. nevermind I switched Pcie slots and the gpu is now working. What does that mean?
  2. Since it is water cooled I have not taken the loop apart yet to test it. I plan to put the original cooler on it. But I may get a pcie extension cable to test it before a full take down.
  3. the computer posts. but i have no display when the gpu that was in the computer at the time of the power outage. everything is fine with a separate undamaged gpu is in the computer. so i assume it is broken. i am wondering if there is anyway to know for sure.
  4. I had a power outage last night and my Asus 1080 ti is no longer working. My computer was plugged into a belkin surge protector. The monitor told me no input detected. SO, I put another graphics card into my comp and it worked. Is it possible for only the gpu to be fried in a power outage? Is there any way to get the gpu working again or it? Here is the kicker I watercooled the GPU so I feel my warranty is void with asus. I fear belkin, who wants me to send them my surge protector, is going to tell me the surge protector worked as intended. Any advise would be appreciated. Also in light of this I bought a ups which I should have bought a long time ago...
  5. Can i use cables from my evga g2 850 watt power supply on my evga g2 1000 watt power supply?
  6. Hey everyone, I just wanted to thank every that posted here to help me out/ show off my rig. lol. I just finished my custom loop and absolutely love it. I ran it over night to check for leaks and I have found none. I have yet to overclock as I am running benchmarks post loop with a stock config (really just to have those numbers). But my cpu under load is 52 degrees C. My gpu's are 42 and 39 under load. Again those numbers are all pre oc. Thanks again.

  8. Thanks again sorry for any hostility about my sli setup
  9. Ok sweet that's all I was trying to see. I read that but didn't really understand if that was capable with sli.
  10. Ahh that makes sense I am just trying to see if it is possible to buy and use an additional m.2 Ssd. Also this all I was able to find but don't see were it states alocation of the lanes. And yes in the future I will never run sli.
  11. That's much more helpful thank you. Also I did read the motherboard manual and it stated that one m.2 uses pcie lanes only and one uses 2 sata ports. Hence is why I am asking questions about it. Because I was not 100% sure how that worked. And yes I have 2 1080's that we're both purchased before the 1080 ti came out.
  12. Are you just trying to start an argument. Because HKZeroFive already answered my question and you have not added anything to this discussion but to pad your posts...
  13. I am not asking for advice on how I spend my hard earned money...
  14. I have a Maximus ix formula and a 7700k. I am running an sli setup for my graphics cardand I have an m.2 ssd setup using pcie lanes. Or at least I believe I do. My first question is it that possible? My second question is can I add a second m.2 ssd? Also what the the system do if I attempt to use to many pcie lanes? I have tried to do some research on the matter but I have yet to find a site that makes sense to my feeble intellect. So please help this poor soul out.
