  1. Hi everyone, thanks for the inputs so far. Thoughts on what cooler would work with the North Design? Seems like 240mm is the biggest AIO cooler that would fit in this case because of the large GPU. Would 240mm Aio Cooler still be better than a beefy air cooler? Build so far:
  2. Thanks for the info. Changed to a ATX 3.0 compliant PSU with 12 + 4 PIN instead.
  3. Is the power supply which is currently in the build not supported natively for the GPU? Is the connector not enough?
  4. I was thinking this as well, however I don't want to put any stress on my nephew to keep an eye on the liquid cooler in case anything ever starts to leak.
  5. Some all around! I want him to also get in to some productivity.
  6. Hi everyone! Trying to put together a new PC for my nephew. This is going to be a very high end PC with a budget at around $5000. Please feel free to come with recommendations. Intended use: Any games for the next 5 years. 5120x1440p ultrawide monitor. (Might switch RAM to 6000Mhz sticks)
  7. Hello everyone! Looking to buy an UW 34" gaming monitor under $600. Currently there's like 5-6 alternatives and I would like some input on which to choose. Samsung 34'' Odyssey AOC 34" CU34G2X Dell 34" S3422DWG MSI 34" Optix MAG342CQR Which one would you choose and why? They are all pretty similar in terms of pricing, but I have ranked them in order from cheapest ($489 on Samsung) and $599 on MSI. Thanks!
  8. Not my only PC. I have a work laptop as well! For entertainment and work of course. I feel like 1070 prices will drop heavily soon and this might be a perfect time to sell it.
  9. I feel like my computer is worth $700-750. $1100 no hassle seems like an amazing deal. That's the only reason I'm thinking about selling. Don't need the money but I don't think I'm gonna see that kind of money when 4000 series is fully out and 2000 series people start selling their computers.
  10. Yeah I know. It's just that even if I wanted to upgrade my PC (let's say all the components were in stock) it's not just the GPU. I would need a new Mobo and a CPU. And a new PSU because 750 just ain't enough nowadays. So when 4000 series comes out (let's say fully unrolled in 2023) I would need an entire new PC anyway.
  11. Hello everyone! With demand high on all used computers, I got an offer for my rig. It's quite a good offer, so I wanted the opinion from some strangers on the internet to see if I should take it it or not. Offer: $1100 for my computer. Chassi: Phanteks P400s CPU: i7 7700k 4.2Ghz GPU: GTX 1070 8GB Motherboard: Gigabyte Gaming z270 K3 RAM: 16GB 3000Mhz (DDR4) Disks: 1x M.2 500GB | 2x Samsung Evo 970 SSD (500GB, 256GB). Fsnst: 4 Noctua 140mm, one 120mm Phanteks back. CPU Cooling: NZXT Kraken X62 PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750W Should I take the deal? If so, I won't have a gaming PC until 4000 series comes out. I barely game, maybe 1 or 2 a week for an hour or so. I have a work laptop that I can use. Also in the middle of moving apartments so I will be busy with that for a while.
  12. The issue always comes up when we change our passwords on admin accounts and old credentials are still being sent to the DC server. The fix for this is to clean the credentials locally on the computer. However, would be easier just to make a policy change for that specific account.
