  1. Noob question. I'm currently working in Python and have created the exe using Pyinstaller. My program currently installs and updates itself by using Inno Setup, but every time the program updates the installation wizard has to run to be able to write to C:/Program Files. How do you update a program without having to us an installer and ask for administrator rights every time? My program currently checks for updates then downloads the installer and runs that, but I'd much rather have it just download a zip and replace only the necessary files without needing to prompt the user.
  2. Here's an expert from the assignment.
  3. That computer will not work with a 970 unless you upgrade the PSU. 970 TPD = 145W, that PSU = 180W.
  4. Hello all. I'm working on an assignment for my Data Structures class and we have to create a RPN calculator. So, we have to store ints, doubles, and the operators in a queue. He says to use void pointers for this, however I can't figure out how to know what type the data should be when I pull them from the queue to do the calculations. Thanks in advanced.
  5. Oh, I'm familiar with the Be Quiet 900, but didn't know it was flippable. However, Is there anything available closer to the $150 range, and preferably like a mid-tower case?
  6. Hey everyone, So I'm thinking about building my GF a computer in the (hopefully) not too distant future. Here's my problem, though. We'll both be using the same desk, so my computer will be on the right side of the desk, so the pretty guts will be showing, but her computer would be on the left side against the wall. If I used a standard case, the window would be against the wall. I know about the Corsair 600C, but are there any other decent looking ATX cases that I can mount the mobo upside down in and have a window? tl;dr There's a wall on the left so I need a window on the right of the case instead.
  7. It shouldn't bottleneck. I7-7700k H100i v2 32 GBs of Corsair Vengeace RAM Asus Maximus IX Hero 850 Watt power supply And yeah, I'll wait. I just hope Vega comes out in May and not the end of June.
  8. I want to get a new graphics card, but I don't know if I should get the 1080 Ti FTW3, or wait for Vega. From what I've seen, Vega is set to outperform the 1080 Ti, but I've never had anything AMD.
  9. Thanks both of you. I got it on Amazon for $37, it'll get here tomorrow.
  10. Yeah, I was thinking about maybe that one, but I figured I'd be safe and get some recommendations.
  11. I have a 20 foot cable, but I'd have to put it in front of a doorway, so I can't do that.
  12. I recently purchased the Asus Maximus IX Hero motherboard for my build, then realized I'm going to have to put my computer further from my router than I'd have liked, so I'm going to need a WiFI NIC. Does anyone know what the best solution would be? I'd like to go with an M.2 NIC if possible, but I don't know what antennae to use and which NIC would be best if I did.
