So wait and see. He asked how we would feel and what our opinions are. Not sure how it can hurt to say what we would like to see. I don't even think that's considered speculating. I don't care what they come out with because I'm likely buying it either way, as I'm sure it will be pretty awesome.

It is supported, just note that the sum of transfer speeds you have in total to all these devices are just under 4GB per second

The few range extenders I have in mind may not work but look into getting ethernet over power adapter with Wi-Fi range extending in your area. Are you in the US? If so something like this:

TP-Link AV600 Powerline WiFi Extender - Powerline Adapter with N300 WiFi, Power Saving, Ethernet over Power(TL-WPA4220 KIT) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HSQAIQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Mcp7BbF4D81CJ

I used this in a home I rented but now I'm in an apartment complex and it is super muggy so I just gpt a 100 foot flat cat 6 and ran it into my room for direct connection to a spare router that I turned into a second hub.

I am loving Titanfall, the first one was pretty brief and just sampling of multiplayer. No big deal, but the store in 2 is phenomenal. Just started Aragami too, I love the art design in it.

Wwadsworth reacted to Lurick in School, does where you go truly matter for employers?
Internships are different and I did skip over those but yes, for an internship grades are usually needed because it ties to school work and they want to know it's not just someone looking to collect a paycheck or goof off and waste the time of everybody involved. As for the questions it would depend on the job in particular and what they are asking for in the posting so those can go a lot of ways. For a more green individual they would probably keep it higher level, get a feel for how you would problem solve and what skills you do or don't have. A good interview will find a weakness you have and drill down until you can't answer anything else and then go just a bit further before moving on to something else but regardless, if you don't know or aren't sure give your best ANSWER (ie: do NOT guess) or say that it's something you want to look up to make sure. Don't start with I don't know, at least try to give an idea of how you would approach an unknown, and show you can balance self reliance with asking others who might be able to give a better answer.

As for pay, never mention it during the interview, don't even think about it. That's always something that can be discussed later after you pass the interview portion.

Agreed.  Now to be fair it might be something they ask about in the interview at the end most likely.  If they do I would answer with a range (not too wide mind you).  At this point they've already decided whether or not they want you regardless of your answer (just don't be ridiculous and say you want 140K for a mid-entry level position).

    Live and learn
Leaving cold hard cash on the table is a great learning experience.

Yes, you have to weigh what your time is worth for the skillset you have, and what the market is charging, but also the most important aspect is to get a feel for your client.

I rolled up to houses in a rich neighborhoods, they were selling a vehicle, so some light banter to get the lay of the land, then show them you mean business with literally cash in hand which is aways a good motivator then bam some reasonable low ball number and the car was on my trailer in 10 minutes and sold quickly after for a good chunk of change. Sometimes the woman is going through a divorce and getting revenge, other times they need the cash now.

A more mainstream situation would be residential roofing, going door to door mail box pamphlets and judging the state of which the roof is in, the yard, vehicles parked in the driveway. Either walk past or drop on a flyer. If the residents are outside, light banter. When the time comes for a quote you have to be on the ball, for risky residents a quick highball offer, for low risk a good salesmanship approach with an average offer or a higher then average offer, then go above and beyond expectations for repeat customers.

I tend to disagree.  The only time a school might matter is specialized fields without experience, or if 2 candidates are identical, fit the personality profile and the only difference is schooling.  Obviously if you go to a very low end school, one of those scammy trade schools, etc that may be held against you.  But otherwise not really.

That's what I feel like I have to do to get myself going. I have had a few consulting opportunities that turned put very well for me. Though I feel like I could have charged more in the end. I upgraded a Dr's office (referred by a friend) for $6k. My friend told me after I was done that next bid was $20k! I felt like I really under-sold myself. I did make 4500 from it though since I just switched the doctor older hardware over to Fedora instead of updating it to Windows 10 since all of his software was based in Firefox.

Maybe go for the last gen CPU and get a non overclock able mobo too. Or if you have to wait for funds or something perhaps you can get a non-overclock mobo and keep that CPU.

Are you OCing? What kind of games are you playing? What is your gaming resolution at and targeted FPS? Would you be willing to go for a 1600x for better editing and slight drop in FPS? (according to this) The 1080 you have is a little pricey for not much of a gaming improvement over say the EVGA SC ($40 less).

If you switch to an AMD you can get a B350 and save $100 on MOBO. If the games you play won't benefit from more ram maybe save a $100 and go for 8 GB at Single channel rather then dual for future work upgrade.  If you stick with Intel go for a lower memory speed RAM. Intel has performed really well with lower frequency RAM. Get a Windows 10 Key from Kinguin. That's where I got mine and I got the buyer protection (a must) and haven't had an issue with it.

You will want mass storage as well for your editing work, go for a Seagate Barricuda drive or a WD Blue/Black at 2+ TB's. The PSU you have is a good choice but do you want to spend the premium for the fully modular aspect? Unless you do a cable mod with different colors go for a Semi-Modular PSU. You will save some money or get a better PSU for the same price.

The front panel in your case may restrict airflow in your system, maybe look for one with a front mesh cover rather then a solid panel too.

120GB SSD for boot and you are gold I feel. Maybe switch the PSU for something Semi-Modular (though I'm guessing it blacked out means you already have that) to reduce cable clutter the case doesn't look like it has much back panel room for the cables.

Yeah, I would run really say to run some Ethernet cables and set up a few Ubiquiti AC-Pro APs. The UniFi controller is some really powerful stuff.

If you can't do that, then Ubiquiti's Amplifi mesh system works as well.

I'm personally not a fan of mesh systems in general though. I would just do it right with running Ethernet cable.

ASUS and Google Mesh are solid options as well though.

Get a switch! Not just the one provided by your ISP or one of those combo routers, AP, and switch devices, but a full blown 16-24 port switch for everyone to plug into.

I would use Intel 8th gen or Ryzen. You only need 8 Gb of RAM and I would use a 1050 Ti or a 1060 for your GPU and not a 960. CPU cooler is overkill unless you are planning on going to OC to 5 GHz
