  1. already got the magnets, and they are easy to use =P i've seen other things use magnets in pcs (like rgb strips and even some fans) but i'm afraid neodymium might be too strong? or maybe i'm just exagerating?
  2. Hey guys, i've got a sata fan hub that i'm using to connect all my fans, but it has no way to stick to the case. I got neodymium magnets that i wanted to stick to the back of the hub and that way attach it to the case, but i'm kinda afraid the magnets might be too strong and damage some components in some way. Is this possible?
  3. Awsome, thanks a lot. Also, would changing the fan for something 30mm at some point be a good idea maybe?
  4. Where should the ID-Cooling 224XTS be? Also, for cooling a 5600X, 5800x3d or 7800x3d, would a single-tower cooler(like the 224XTS) be enough to avoid throttling?
  5. Hey guys, i'm in the slow process of moving back from itx to(eventually) matx, and right now i'm looking to replace my sfx PSU (CM V850 SFX GOLD) Long story short, i'm having problems finding a good PSU at good prices (specially where i live) Right now i'm between the Corsair RM 850x (AR$ 50k) and the Seasonic focus 850w (AR$ 34k) but the price difference seems WAY too big, and i'm not sure it's worth it. Also i'm not sure if i shouldn't wait for an ATX v3 PSU, instead of buying one right now. Hardware wise, right now i have a Ryzen 5600x and a 6700xt, i know for that hardware 850w is overkill, but i wanna future proof (i want to eventually move to something like a 5800x3d or maybe a 7-series x3d, and maybe a 7900xt or something like that next year, i was thinking maybe 750w might be ok but with how GPUs are going, i'd rather stay in 850w mark) Any suggestions? availability in my country is really low, but i can check for other brands/models
  6. Hey man, what i could find out is that it's related to chrome's hardware acceleration, so switching that off in chrome (and in any electron app, so, for example, discord, ms teams, etc.) makes it kinda sorta of a non-issue (until you run something where you cant disable that, or you actually need it.) the other thing i've found is this reddit post which seems to have a fix, since doing that i havent had the issue, so it might be an actual fix.
  7. done that multiple times, with the same driver and with different versions (always with ddu)
  8. Hey guys, i'm having a pretty strange problem. Randomly my gpu will hang(the sound keeps playing normally), and then blackscreen one screen and then the other. After i reset the PC, the GPU driver will be disabled in device manager. If i enable it, everything goes back to normal until the next time it happens. It doesnt seem to be related to GPU Usage, as it doesn't happen with furmark, for example. It has happened to me for example while having zoom in the background, but never only while using chrome.(also while playing some less exigent games) I tried with and without freesync and happened anyway (strangely, when i disabled freesync a lot of time passed until it happened again) My GPU is a Sapphire 6700xt Pulse, and my monitor is a gigabyte m27q. My mobo is a gigabyte x570-i, on windows 11 can this be windows 11 fault? or should i try to get it RMA? Thanks
  9. Im having this problem as well. Seems to be random, because it happens after a few weeks with no visible pattern. Read somewhere else it might be a vram problem, is it possible?
  10. I value audio quality but i'm sorry to say my hearing is not good enough to notice the diference, i realized when i went from a gsp 300 to a hd58x, and tbh i didn't notice any difference (ofc other than my ears reciving some oxygen since for the first time in a while lol). i bought 'em together with a friend who has better hearing than me and he did notice(neither of us had an amp, so i could blame the integrated sound card, but i'm pretty sure that's not it). That's why i'm going the confort route and going wireless
  11. Hey guys, i've been thinking of going wireless with my audio, but i'm doubting heavily about what to get. i don't really need a microphone(got a cam with mic right now) so my main focus is audio quality. I'm doubting between a corsair virtuoso or a hyperx cloud 2 wireless, but i dunno if there's any other one i should be looking at. Most non-gaming headphones are BT only, which kinda discourages me (my mobo has BT, but i'm not sure if that would suck, heard bad things about the latency). Any suggestions?
  12. Hey guys, i'm having a problem with a LG 34UC79G-B. Until a couple of days ago it was working perfectly, but i just got a new AOC 24G2, so i kinda put it away, then, when i realized i kinda missed the screen real state(my objective is to get 2 24" to replace the LG, but with the whole quarantine stuff going on, it'll be hard to get one so soon) i started using it as a secondary monitor. Until then(that must've been wednesday) everything was fine, i installed the monitor and it powered up alright. Yesterday Night(thursday) i disconnected it to tidy up some cables(mind you, i didnt pull it in any weird way or anything), and then it stopped working. Tried everything(changed to wall socket, disconnect and reconnect, left it disconnected for some time, etc), my only clue was that there was some light behind the menu nub on the bottom(so, even if it didnt power, there was electricity getting to it). Today i read at Acer's site that by disconnecting their monitors and holding the power button 30 sec, it would power reset. At that point i was desperate, so i tried it, and after doing that, the monitor worked again! I retested it a couple of times and it seems like it really works(also, the problem keeps happening whenever i disconnect-reconnect). Anyway, i'm afraid what does this mean, while right now the monitor is working fine, i'm afraid it might just die at any moment. Any recommendations? Has anyone had a similar experience? if so, is this an easy repair? or i should contact LG(i'm not sure if the monitor warranty is still running) Thanks, and sorry for the possibly crappy english
  13. Hey guys, i've been having fun with my ITX build(my wallet hasn't, though), and while i'm mostly happy with everything(wraith max crappy rgb aside), there's something that's been plaguing my brain with doubt: DC and PWM fans, specially when using a fan hub. A while ago i changed my riotoro cr280 for a fractal design define nano S(great little case, if you cant get something smaller), i had bought 3 120mm id-cooling PWM fans, which were working relatively well(really noisy), but the nano s came with 2 140mm on front and a 120mm on the back, all from fractal design, so i switched to those. still i lost the ability to configure the curves, because the fans are DC. If i connect one of my PWM fans in the first port of the hub, i get to configure it, but i'm afraid that might cause problems for the other fans (maybe spin faster that they should? dunno). Now i'm thinking if i should get 2 120mm and 2 140mm phanteks PWM fans to replace my actual ones, but still the 120mm have a diferent max RPM than the 140mm ones. So i'm not sure, i feel i should have 2 hubs, one for 140mm and one for 120mm fans(which i cant because my mobo has 1 chasis fan header other than AIO pump and CPU). Also i'm kinda worried the hub will cause more problems than benefits(it's not sata powered, only connects to the fan header), maybe i should get a fan controller? if so, which one can you guys recommend? in case i didn't explain myself well enought(which i think i didnt) TL; DR;: i dont know if: 1. it's worth using a PWM fan over a DC fan. 2. the main fan on a fan hub can cause the other fans any problems(specially if they are DC and the main one is PWM, or if all are PWM, if the size/specifications are diferent) 3. what's the ideal situation for using more fans than the mobo has headers, is a fan hub good enough? should i get a fan controller? Thanks
  14. as i said, this image is with my old PSU, right now there's a lot less clutter.
  15. Hey guys, recently i moved to an ITX, after a lot of suffering because i cant get stuff in my country, i ended up buying a riotoro cr280, and finally an SFX PSU and a fan hub(also an asus rtx 2080, which is awesome) , and with it, now i have the space to put a 120mm fan next to the PSU(basically, in front of it, right under the blower of the GPU, images of the old psu at the end of the post). Considering my fan hub has space for 4 fans, i've been thinking if i should add another fan(having 3 intake fans, two on the front, one from the bottom, and one exhaust on the back) or just move the lower intake fan there, but having 3-intake and 1 exhaust kinda isnt clicking, so i wanted to ask for opinions. Should i move the lower intake fan to the bottom? or keep it there? Also, if i add another fan, should it be exhaust or intake? if it's exhaust, what's the best place to put it?(there's space for 2 exhaust on the top) right above the CPU? or closer to the front? thanks
  16. TY. 17. Hey, i've got a question about airflow in the case.(specifically, about fan configurations and intake vs exhaust) Should i ask it here? or make another thread in the air cooling forum?
  18. temps(tested the cpu with prime95 and the GPU with furmark): Corsair 400c riotoro cr280
  19. here are some pictures of the build, tbh i cant believe how small it is lol. when i test temps in this i'll upload it
  20. Forgot to ask, what tests can i use to test the temps on my old case and the new one?
  21. Yeah, sadly. Ended getting a ritoro cr280 (it's kinda like a poor man's define nano s), hopefully at some moment i'll be able to get an sfx PSU with an adaptor so that the GPU can breath(right now it's not a problem as my vega 56 has a blower fan)(i'm saying hopefully, because, again, sfx PSU are non-existent). Thanks everyone for the help though, might post some photos when the build is done
  22. exactly. been thinking i could get an inwin a1 plus(though i would end up paying something like 470 US$ just from taxes and shipping) or a meshify mini C, which, while it's a really nice case(wanted to get a meshify before deciding to get something ITX) would be kinda crappy since i wanted something small.
  23. thanks. still it seems like my country doesnt like itx or something(cant get it anywhere here) saw a video by bitwit and read in a couple of places that itx cases with the standard atx form factor (horizontal GPU with PSU under it) have problems with GPU airflow on non-blower GPUS. i know this isnt exactly the theme of the topic but wanted to ask how much of this is true? should i just get a mATX case?(i can get a meshify C in my country which is a case that i really liked, might be a better idea?)
  24. quick question: does this happen on the fractal design define nano s? i'm pretty sure there's a lot more space than on the phanteks, but wanted to ask anyway
