I've run into some issues after installing liquid metal on my Asus g752 (both CPU and GPU).
I used conformal coating over a electrical tape method and replaced some of the thermal pads while I was in there. I used a thin (almost too thin imo) layer of LM on both CPU and GPU.
Temps look decent with around a 7-8c drop on the CPU and an actual increase on GPU (62c->68c).
Issue being, why would my GPU temps go up using LM? I would expect to see at least similar temps if not lower.
Then I experienced a couple of off shut offs -no BSOD, just shut off. Was also monitoring temps during shutoff with no stress test being done (youtube watching when shut off occurred)
Any thoughts to why the random shut offs now?
