  1. anything under....$300 dollars would be nice but im less worried about price more performance and i need it more for gaming than editing. the overall build will be a resident evil umbrella theme. so black and red would be nice. Whatever your opinion my theme isnt set in stone. if you have multiple ideas i would be more than thankful. you'll definitely want a Maximus V Formula then' date=' plenty of features and fantastic sound all packed into a black and red E-ATX board. Get some G-Skill if you waty to be flashy with some red RAM, but if you want performance, go with Samsung's WonderRam, cause these little suckers will easily OC to 2400mhz with a bit of sweat on the brow. Is that mobo trustworthy? my last build i went with asus got a DOA and never could get a Working board out of them after months i finnally just scrapped the board. If you think its a safe buy i dont mind giving them a second chance but at the same time if it ends up being a 300 dollar paper wait i wont be able to replace it for a long time. Thanks for your help. hopefully i will have better luck this time then.

  4. I'm building a new gaming / editing / streaming rig. Im going to go with a i7 3770k but im not sure what mother board to go with. im using a 800d so either atx ot e-atx is fine. on the subject of ram when i look at some mother boards it says "4×240pin DDR3 2800+(OC)/2400(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066" what does the oc mean? and what is the actual highest stock speed ram i can put into the board.
  5. thanks for all the help looking at all this info I think i will go with an i7 3770k because it will do all my hardcore programs and still play games well.
  6. Im going to be building a new gaming rig soon i just want a honest unbiased opinion of the piledriver 8350. I've heard all the fanboys say go one way or another but i really just wanna know how the 8350 holds upto say an i5 or i7.
