Our customs office provides calculator for these. Basically, it's estimation based on the country's general rates that are given. Here's page for UK customs https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty. As noted there, standard VAT is 20% (which equals $6). But since VAT you pay for imports includes shipping and handling fees, store can't give you final number before shipping fee is calculated.
 
Looking at the wording there, those fees will be paid on entry, not to store. But of that I'm not sure.

I dont no about you people but when i buy something i like to know how much i will be paying BEFORE i pay for a order and order that item or items.

So what I will say is I live in Alaska, so there's no import on anything I buy from Canada really. I've ordered from LTT quite a few times and never had the tax change on me.
 
I have seen where people in other countries order, the package gets to customs and there are customs issues and the customer gets charged to import. That being said, if you do get double taxed, LMG will reimburse you one of the tax payments. They've done it before and it's part of their "Trust Me Bro."
The big thing to note is that it's for double tax, not customs/import fees. 
Mine gets set to ~9%. Locally, our sales tax is 3% on the first $1,000 of a purchase/sale. I've never taken that up with LMG since that 6% is hardly worth my time or LMGs time to charge back. I'm not saying I like giving that 6% "away", but if you look at it in the grand picture it's not worth the hourly investment on both ends. 
 

That's... Weird. Usually when you place the order, it will say right then and there how much the tax is. It shouldn't suddenly change after the fact. That wording make it weird for sure. Maybe they means it in a "once you've filled all the boxes, the tax will show the proper number".
 
After entering my address, the estimated tax went from $3.50 to $11.98. Which is accurate for where I live (Canada).

I have a 8 year old predator monitor that’s 1440p IPS panel with 4ms response time. I love the color. Not sure if 4ms is ridiculous by todays standards?
 
Or stay in a hole and then be blown away by how things have moved on to the point where you feel like you got a great deal no matter what😂
 
I wouldn’t have been able to believe I could get 4TB of M.2 storage with ~7,500mb/s read speeds for $335 6 years ago.

Totally agree that it is pretty extra, but it is in no way comparable to a cooling pad!
 
If you are okay with a ~60db cooling pad, that is obviously always an option. The whole reason I started this project was because of how obnoxious fans are on laptops, even more so for the IETS GT pads, which are the only cooling pad that does anything more than lifting the back of the laptop will. The original versions of this were actually just a GT500 with different fans, but none ever had enough static pressure to do anything meaningful. Meanwhile, with this I still have the stock air cooling and can run Metro Exodus and Dead Space both on ultra completely silent and under 70*c CPU/GPU, with the CPU at 5.2 and the GPU shunt modded to pull ~270w, something that will never happen with a cooling pad and fans. 
 
 

Ive seen it all now a watercooled laptop. Have to give you 10 out of 10 for orginality. First time ive seen this. However saying that i would give you 3 out of 10 when you could of just got a laptop standard fan cooler which goes under the laptop to keep things cool enough. Of course your laptop looks like something out of a terminator film which has its appeal. I guess this is your pet project away from gaming sessions lol.

With the shunt mod done the GPU is pulling about 100w more than previously in certain areas, particularly the Metro Exodus "Two Colonels" DLC which sees as high as ~280w on the GPU alone (that is somewhere between 350-400w total between the GPU,CPU, and other components!!!) with that, temps are also higher. I can get the temps back down by turning the fan RPM up, but that is gross 🤢🤮
 
SO, instead of turning up the T30s, I am making two changes to the water loop to see where we end up. The first change will be adding a second 240mm EK Cool Stream radiator (Thanks Performance PCs for having ONE left in stock), and the second will be trying the Barrow RAM water block.
      
 
I already have the second radiator (need to go to MicroCenter for more coolant) and, sadly, it has made about 0 impact on temps. I am hoping this is because the Alpha Cool block has no micro fins whatsoever, this is where the Barrow block comes in. This RAM block is, as far as I have found, the only RAM cooler that has micro fins. Because of the importance of these with CPU cooling, I am hoping this will get us some improvement with the temperatures. If not...Well... The more you know...

I have a 1080ti and play at 1440p on a Gysnc Monitor. I have three matter of fact but use 1 for gaming only. Anyway went abit off topic there. The reason why i didnt buy the 3000 series was due to the shortage at the time plus the gap in preformance between my 1080ti and the 3080 or 3080ti. I didnt warrant it enough at the time for me. So i waited for the 4000 series which when came,the 4090 was the only card worth getting becuase we all no what has happened to the 4080 cards etc etc and the 4070ti basically being a 4060 super in sleep clothing. I didnt want to spend 2000 pounds (live in the uk) on a card. Plus at the time with the power cable burnsouts with the 4090 i didnt want to take a chance. But since that is all over now. I am waiting for the 5000 series even if i brought the 5080 or 5080ti should techinically be faster than the 4090 at launch. The way i see it if i am throw down alot of money on a GPU might as well get my moneys worth in terms of preformance from my 1080ti to the 5000 card. 
 
So saying that if you can wait and have some patience WAIT 2 or 3 more years for the 5000 series to come about. Trust me you might not thank me now but you will 2 years from now.

I just got my 27 inch 1440p gysnc 144hz monitor. I did have an 24inch 1080p 120hz monitor. I can tell you the 27inch is alot better. You get more of a feel to the games when the screen is bigger. And tbh once you go 1440p there is no going back. The games look and feel so much better. And if your not into gaming. The increase in screen rez and workshop is alot better. 

Your screwed your trying to overtake a car which is going just under the speed limit. And your overtaking the car on a straight there is a car coming towards you but you have plenty of time however you get along side the car and the car speeds up to the limit and there speed limiter kicks in. You decide to put the foot to the metal but also hit the max speed for the speed limiter. You cant overtake the dam car. You have two choices. Hit the brakes ASAP and hope for the best to get behind the car or hope the car slows down or the speed limiter turns off BEFORE the on coming car hits you.

The worst bit about all this is that people will go and buy the 10 core intel part because 'it's intel' and just completely ignore 16 core zen2. And if you refuse to buy AMD, please...wait for 10nm for goodness sakes. Don't buy this garbage of a cpu. It'll consume more power than my house at 14nm. I urge to people to avoid Skylake refresh number 1000 and just wait. Comet Lake will be even worse power consumption than Coffee Lake because as I said, they are messing people around by making tiny changes to IPC and frequency. It's a joke. And Coffee Lake wasn't exactly...efficient.

Or if you have any sort of patience wait till next gen from nvidia. You have an 1080ti like myself its a good card. 2080ti is only 25 to 35% faster depends on the game. And for SLI i used to have SLI for many years but found that when it works it works great but when it does not it sucks and bascially you will disable one of your cards. Ive found in some games "not many" having SLI enabled actually made the game run slower" It comes down to patience and money in your choice. Is it worth getting an 2080ti for that level of preformance or sticking to your guns and waiting like i am going to do. 
 
Only you can answer that.I remember having 670 SLI and waiting till the 1080ti came out and that was a massive upgrade for me. It was not due to money but due to value for money. Not many people can wait that long. And alot of people just throw money at something becuase they want the best of the best right now lol.

I know what your saying but he can still game at 1080p 144hz but he will lose some of his card protential at that rez. Hes better off going 1440p or 4k. Hell i know people which game at 1080p 144hz on 2080ti lol. And they are fine with it. Yes its a waste but its still fine. 

As much as i HATE fortnite.My 2 sons which are young love the game. And i've actually had to do something ive never done in ANY GAME before is pay for some skins and in game currency for them and buy an fortnite skin CD pack for christmas. Just thinking of it now sends chills down my spine LOL.
 
No wonder epic made alot of money from it. Im sure my 2 sons aint the only ones paying for in game currency etc etc many are.

All that matters is the price to preformance ratio for most of us. I will bet good money it will be bad. 

GTX 1080TI at 1440p 144hz. Is the perfect choice and setup for any games. That why i spent over 1000 pounds on my 1080ti with my 1440p 144hz G-Sync Monitor. Every game i've played its the perfect choice between graphics and fps speed. Cant get much better.  ATM im playing witcher 3 modded with over 50 different mods and ultra settings and some really hardcore graphic mods for it. And 4x AA on hairworks in game. And im getting 85 to 120 fps in game. At 1440p. The most demanding game ive played is ghost recon wildands on utlra settings and im getting 60 to 90 fps. But thats the most demanding game ive played and trust me ive been playing all the demanding games over the last year. 

Makes you think that someone sitting behind a desk somewhere in Nividia Headquarters doing this on purpose. For the purpose to confuse all them idiot whales with more money than brains. "Go out there and buy the new RTX cards its well worth the money" LOL.
