I'm attending ASU for their bachelor in cyber security starting in fall and I want a laptop that can do light causal gaming (Overwatch/Siege) but one that can handle the programming I need to do. Is the dell xps 5 with the gtx 1050 or 1050ti a good choice? If not, any recommendations?

I'm starting to have to figure what I want to major in and I am having a lot of trouble deciding what I should do. At the moment I am considering fighting since I have been training since I was 5 years old. As well as computer science, particularly cyber security or pentesting because i love coding and working with computers. In addition to fire fighting because I want to serve the community and pay back to society. So if anyone could help me decide or somewhat guide me to my choice, it would really help. So here is my situation: My parents are divorced and I have 2 homes. I need a better gaming pc or gaming laptop so I can actually play games like they are meant to be. However, I don't want to drop a load of money on a laptop that I can't upgrade. But I don't have a huge budget to build a mini itx system to move between houses. Plus my budget isn't big enough to get a PC for each house. So I don't know what to do and I could really use some help.

My computer randomly disconnects me from Valve Anti Cheat servers for some reason. I've done everything it says on the steam page and it still keeps on happening. I keep on taking bans for days and weeks, I have no clue what to do. Can anyone help me???
