  1. Your absolutely right, the lighting is kinda messy at the first place but I made the same decision when I build my pc 2 years ago, best bang of bangs over expansive cool stuff.   My friend was actually been told that there were only orange tube available at the time so the builder went with it.  The system had been running with only distilled water.  It's pretty sure that if my friend is going for it he will spent a lot of time maintain the loop and waste some time on it.  @norritt

If you feel the good looks and hard work that went into it is worth it then yes.

Otherwise parts alone, I'd reckon the whole thing is worth about 2200 to 2500 USD.

Definitely, there is no point to sli the newest card anymore because games and monitors can't handle them well.  My friend wouldn't want to buy this thing if it was only aircooled.

This pretty much depends on your personal preference. Using (custom) watercooling means that you'll end up with a very high-maintainance system. If I were you I'd take that money and build a *way* more powerful air cooled system with new components and full warranty.

Yea, I agree I build my single card system 2 years ago, a nice case a ryzen chip a good motherborad, a C14 3200 ram, a good psu, it was worth 3000.  Right now i am sure can build a newer system with the same budget.  But man, if we want to watercool it at the same time.  Oh man thats a lot more.  I think this custom build posted was 6000 brand new.  that goofy damn case was 600 bucks.

I mean, it's very well done, so if your friend has the money, I'd say he should go for it. The components alone aren't worth that much (it is a 6700K, after all), but the nice, hardline custom loop makes it worth the price IMO.

Maybe see if you can talk the seller down a few hundred bucks.

Your right, I have not seen any loop like this, most of the custom build pc has its own identity and I believe this is one of a kind, the builder was amazing.

  5. Hi, I was only shopping for a used Gtx 1080 online and Craigslist, however a buddy of mine come across this custom build looks like a good deal to me to pick up local at school.

I am not sure if its worth the money to buy it now because rumor said the new launch of the 1100 series is coming and I already see retails are pushing the 1080 real cheap.

The main reason I kept my eye on it its because it look so coool...and water cooled.

How much u think its worth.  1200 - 1900?  IN USD  THanks ahead.

Worth a shot for my friend?  He has the budget.

  6. It appears that one of my 980ti hybird card come with a acx2.0 fan with 2770 max fan speed.  And the others I have are all blower style.  My questions is WHY? = =  they are similar temper at load, but the blower style tend to get up to 3700 fan speed at max, and its loud enough for me to hear at its 65% range.  While the acx2.0 fan does not.  They are all the same series 06G-p4-1996-kr

  7. Recently I have been benchmarking 10s of 980ti Hybird with a $500 low end comsumer market Pc, it has a 65 dollar motherboard and a fx4300.  I can tell the bottlenecking on this pc is noticble.  In my experience 980ti sli is only capable of no more than 120fps in high/ultra preset on recent AA AAA tiltles, and sli does require the cpu to  manipulated work flow between the gpu and vram.  I myself have a lot of different monitors, 1080p 144hz is recommanded for online firstperson and 1440p 60hz ips is more than enough for a stable 980ti sli.

  8. Hey, I just moved into this city where my new office has a lot of used 980ti hybird sitting around that no longer on duty (looks brand new), I have been told that the last owner of the office just left them out here for no reason.

I am talking about 10s of and more 980ti hybird sitting here.  Since I just moved in and my desktops hasnt arrive from hometown, right now I wil just go to BestBuy and get a machine (for now and later use) to test and benchmark these badboysss SO BAAAAADD.   I wanted to find those lottery ticket.

Which one in store pick up should I go for :  http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-3650-desktop-intel-core-i5-12gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-silver/4827002.p?skuId=4827002

Any advice would be nice, I will get another 600w psu tho, I am only afirad of if these motherboard juicy enough to support the cards...

  10. Yes, I took time to read the top 3 psu topics, and watched some youtube videos online which some stated that:  most of the time power consumption would not reach half of your PSU

Pcpart suggested 850w, image below from cooler master recommaned 1000W, and they listed the 1200 W PSU.

HOW many WATTS PSU DO I need?  Linus said: Not the bigger the Better.  Power eficiency matters?  What high quality PSU brand or modle suggestion do you have? (NO BUDGET)

Also I chose the x62 280mm cooler, looks like the Phantek EnthooEvolv T/P ATX mid-tower have a hard time to hide the 280mm on top (It exposed and covered the top part of motherboard) ?  I really like the x62, should i place it at front or jsut get a 240mm instead?

THanks for reading, these are the concers i have so far.

wow thats a lot of games....

are you and your cousin can play the same game at the same time?

Yea, I never have that much time to play all the games, I only played 10 of them, I bought the games when they were on sale, so it stacks up...you can get total 250 hours on a good story line game, and endless hour on online shooting like Destiny.

Me and my cousin can definitly play the same game at the same time, let's say the account you have ownership on the game is primary account.  In ps4, you can set your account to bound on a ps4 as a primary ps4, that means you can gain access and play all the games that you have downloaded offline or online on a different log in account.  What we did was the using secondary account to play on the primary ps4, and the primary account just log in and play game, but you do need to be able to connect to the server to play games, otherwise they will forced you to go back menu after 20 mins, saying you do not own the content.

I would go with the 1700 none x the xfr is not really that good and a manual overclock would need to be done on a 1700x anyway. As for the motherboard, that is the best choice atm. And as you will have everything under water you should have no heat issues in that case.

Does that 3 radiator fits a mid tower case?  The one I chose was full tower at 250.

    My plan is to buy:

    -Last of us

    -Horizon zero down'

    -witcher 3

    - any suggestions for games?  (great game story is my thing :)

If you have a hdmi input laptop, that would be so nicee haha, I have at least 30 AAA title and over 200 games in my account, the advantage on online purchasing other than buying disc is that if you have two ps4, lets say you and your cousin, both has ps4, you can buy one game on one account, and have 2 ps4 being able to play that game, its kinda coufusing, but that's how I am doing right now with my cousin, we have one account that buys all the game, and two of us plays on a different ps4.

yea i will definitely checking ps vita too :)

btw for 1080p display is ps 4 pro really worth it compared to ps 4?

I played some fps game in ps4 for a period of time, you expected everyone to play on the same setting on the same game, so 1080p is good enough.  I did not upgrade to ps 4 pro because I have a 65'' 3d tv.  but they seem to limit the fps to 30 on 4k gaming on ps4 pro.  You will only notice the different if you have a 64" screen.  I believe ps4 pro stick at 60fps at 1080p as well.

Content creation doesn't use SLI. Typically most editors use a single gpu for editing. Multiple gpu may be used for rendering.

You are right, I am rendering some 4k video as well, I don't know how overlocking the cpu benifits the overall performance.  Getting a high clockspeed means higher tempearture, I feel like the 1700x will get hotter than the 1700 if overclocked, cuz 1700x draws more power.  65w and 95w its a game changer for cpu right?

im checking freegeek right now thanks

that is true, but ps 4 exclusive games make me confused (Last of us 2, horizon zero down) :/

I am not sure how long you still stay in Canada, but are you being able to carry the desktop to somewhere else?  I have a ps4 since its launch, I have so much game in account but never had time to play as a college student.
