Newegg screwed me and didnt ship my cpu so i canceled everything there and just ordered it from amazon. I'm still debating about going to canada tomorrow if they have some left over. I live in the niagara region so the closest canada computers is only 30 minutes away from me. I wish i had a microcenter near me but i dont closest one is northeast ohio which is 204 miles away. I know this probably sounds petty but im probably going to personally boycott newegg for a little bit just because im pissed off they screwed me on this preorder. I'm not some overnight fanboy ive been waiting for this for a few years now. This is beyond upsetting.

Duh its before release. Its one thing to ship a day early... because i still wont get the product until the release day. Nobody is going to give you the product a day early though. Show up with the cash tomorrow and you'll get something maybe.

i can wait until friday its a week from today i cannot wait for . I'm just really upset ive been all pumped up and waiting for the release and newegg screws me at the last minute. The closest store without a preorder on the motherboards is microcenter. MICROCENTER is 200 miles, 3 hours AWAY! I drive a frigging DURANGO. 10MPG, 6 hours and not even a promise i can even get one. I'm just so done at this point. *raged out*

Pretty much she told me anyone who ordered a ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming AM4 AMD X370 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Motherboards - AMD and was promised the 3/2 date got screwed until 3/7! This is 100% UNACCEPTABLE now i have a 500 dollar cpu that is completely worthless for a week!

Newegg just screwed me on my motherboard according to the rep. I'm beyond irritated at this point and im currently on hold for a supervisor.

Just so you know, everyone was wrong including myself. Here is the real answer. Shoutout to Overclockers.net and the EKWB forum over there with real EKWB support reps. http://www.overclock.net/t/1624359/am4-upgrade-kit TL;DR I see that you have a Supremacy MX, if it's the case, you don't need the gasket and you don't need to switch the backplate. You can keep the original one. All you need to do is to install the new mounting plate like you did. When you'll have your motherboard, you'll have to follow the instructions (https://www.ekwb.com/shop/EK-IM/EK-IM-3831109800317.pdf) to install the block on your board. Basically, you will need to remove the original plastic hold-down clamps around the socket and install the CPU block. HOWEVER; KEEP READING!!!! Can i ask why one needs the gasket and why one does not. I do have the MX. Answer: Simply because the mounting mechanism isn't the same on the MX and the EVO. The MX has the screws already mounted and ready to be screwed on the original backplate while the EVO requires to install screw-like posts that screws in the EK backplate. The you slide your CPU block over the 4 posts and you secure everything with the provided springs and thumb screws IF YOU HAVE THE EVO YOU NEED THE RUBBER GASKET IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE EVO YOU DON'T! AGAIN IF YOU HAVE THE EKWB SUPREMACY MX YOU DO NOT NEED THE BACKPLATE OR THE RUBBER GASKET. IF YOU HAVE THE EKWB SURPREMACY EVO YOU NEED THE BACKPLATE AND THE RUBBER GASKET! Don't fry your crap kids. Someone should sticky this.

Why would EK send it with the mounting plate? No company in the world is going to send something you don't need that is extra cost for everyone. even the "cheap" B350s have the backplate installed.

Why did ek send everyone this beautiful shiny silver backplate then heh. You can see my frustration on this and trying to ensure i have everything i need when i get my stuff on launch day. I really wish someone from LTT that has TOUCHED a real AM4 motherboard would just come out here and say YES I NEED IT or NO I DON'T NEED IT. Because honestly Nobody knows anything but the media people who got a test kit! *Sighs* Early Adopter got me bad this time... i wish AMD didnt take 10 years to get there sh*t together!
