  1. Hello, i'm in the process of making a mini-itx build for the convenience of going on trips and stuff, it'll also be able to handle my day-to-day gaming and photo rendering. I want the case to really pop, aesthetic-wise, and i know there isn't really a good way to make a mini-itx build look good, but I really want to try. I've always been interested in Brock Hofer's art, and i'm thinking about customizing the Fractal Design Node 304 case with the hyper beast design from CS:GO, i'm just not sure how to go about it. I could do a paint job on the case, but I don't think it would come out good and i'm a terrible artist haha. I want it to look glossy like the H440 Hyper Beast edition, so i'm thinking about painting it or doing some kind of paper wrap with holes cut out for the IO and stuff.
  2. I saw something from silver stone called the sg13b its either mini itx or htpc and it looks extremely small and should definitely fit in my backpack
  3. Im thinking if its small enough I can put the PC and my mouse in my backpack I take on the flight so I can look after it personally then have my keyboard and some kind of monitor in my suitcase that im checking. It will also be full of clothes so padding is a check. Frightened how the monitor will react to being thrown around but it might be fine. The keyboard is a tenkeyless corsair k65 so maybe I can cram that into my backpack as well.
  4. I updated the list https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Asvarden/saved/KMJ23C so critique it as you will
  5. also i wanna go with something 1070 equivalent, maybe a 1070 but i don't know if it will fit my budget and once vega drops ill probably get a 570 but i might go 1070 before and just use that.
  6. The case fan was to replace on the noctua CPU cooler, I think the pc q37 chassis comes with fans, I can change out the ram, my time frame is pretty flexible but I want to be done with the project before the end of the year, optimal time would be around the beginning of summer break so idk if vega is coming out before or after. Ill check out the c1 and change to a more recent 65 tdp processor.
  7. You've all been super helpful, when I build this ill be sure to send pictures and videos! Here's the link to the pcpartpicker list https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Asvarden/saved/KMJ23C
  8. I'm just all about it being quiet so that's why I wanted the liquid cooling, ill be super extra protective and pad my suitcase and hope security doesn't think its a bomb haha. Budget is about 1000 to 1500
  9. I'm just scared to man handle it in the airport cause of the tempered glass it just seems very fragile and I don't want to hurt it
  10. Ive seen that case around, it looks good but it seems a little cramped and it looks long like it wouldn't fit in my backpack or suitcase probably suitcase is easier
  11. I'm looking for a good case to make a PC to bring with me to Colorado(I live in Seattle). I was really interested in the PC-q37 from Lian li, but I don't think its gonna be very good portable wise. I need a mini itx case that can fit a full desktop size gpu and maybe a 240 rad for a corsair h100i. The two cases I was intrigued were the DAN Cases A4-SFX and the Lian Li PC-Q37. Please help
  12. Yeah H7 is not bad at all, do you know if cryorig has any case fans? I'm doing my own modified version of the LTT desk pc and I need some for 2 360 radiators
  13. C7 is really good and has a slim form factor
  14. Hi! This is Hollis again, and I am wondering about mini ITX builds. I'm thinking of building an overkill console killer, wall mounted in the Lian li PC 07S (Inspiration from Bitwit), and there just aren't any GOOD gpus that can fit in the case. I heard about vertical pcie slots, maybe someone could link me to that cause then I could use a slim asus card like a 480 strix and have it going vertical and then I could just Tetris the psu and it would be good. Thanks for help!
  15. I would say if acoustics are your highest priority go AIO, do something cheap like a corsair h100iv2, but if you REALLY want best cooling do like high end air or medium AIO. Custom loop if you're ready to put in the time and $ cause you can make that shit quiet and also performance
