I love how I have a 8700K and Vega 64 but I just use it to play like Club Penguin

*buys i7-8750H + GTX 1060 laptop*
----------
*plays Undertale, Super Meat Boy, and Cuphead on it*

Can I have your GPU? I'll give you my 370
-
could be worse
you could have a ryzen 7 1700x and an rx 580 just to play team fortress 2 at... uh, 1080p
-
@kelvinhall05 Already have a 370 lying around
-
@handymanshandle Club Penguin is a online flash game from like 2006, fyi.
-
I know it is
tf2 is a source engine game from 2007
point is neither need good gpus to run
-
i have a GTX 690 for Overwatch... dunno if that's bad or not. i get solid 60fps at ultra settings so idc lol.
-
@firelighter487 As long as you have 2+ GB of vRAM, Overwatch doesn't give a sh*t. Like you pointed out, Overwatch is completely content with your GTX 690, despite its vRAM limit.
@handymanshandle Yeah, all you need for good FPS on TF2 is any desktop Intel iGPU made since 2014.
-
@Techstorm970 meh. it has problems on my gaming laptop that has a GTX 960M... i can't get 60fps on decent settings.. it won't happen. i need to go down to medium/low settings.
also remember that the GTX 690 is a dual GPU card, and has 2gb of vram available per gpu, so also 2gb for games because SLI...
-
@firelighter487 What I meant is that Overwatch cares a lot more about the GPU itself than it does the vRAM.
-
@Techstorm970 oh yea that's true... according to the in game overlay on ultra settings it uses like 1.2gb of vram lmao..
-
not on ultra... you'd have to go to minimum settings. i know this because i have owned a laptop with a GTX 950M, which is about the performance of an MX150 if i remember correctly...
