  1. I think these are the same, at least timing wise, if I understand correctly the hynix one uses significantly less power? https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KSM26SED8_32HC.pdf https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KSM26SED8_32MF.pdf
  2. Thank you so much. Also, no chance you have an idea whether it matters which chip I get, has same cas latency and speed between dies, options being Hynix C and Micron F
  3. Hey, curious if anyone has anyone online experience here on the more pro side of things. Just got a hp zbook 15 g6 with a xeon W-2886 for cad, and am upgrading my ram. am getting ECC DDR4 Sodimms, I need 64gb, but I have 3 options: 2x dual rank 32gb, 4x dual rank 16gb, 4x single rank 16gb. It is a dual channel system. Anybody have experience with those options and what do you recommend.
  4. Hey, I am upgrading my setup since my CPU and GPU are a bit slow for me (mostly used for CAD, fluid simulations, and some gaming). Will be waiting for vega and will pick my gpu then, probably ending up at around a 350W TDP. I will be shoving this into an FT03 mini case, and wanted to know whether I should go with air cooling the gpu, or whether I should put them all on a single loop water cooler, and if so, whether I could use a 120mm thick rad, needed to mod a bunch to get a single 140mm rad, or whether there was no chance that I could use a single loop, and if so, whether liquid cooling one, air cooling both, or switching to a different case (I really dont want to) would be a better option.
  5. I will, but I don't have the tv yet, and wanted to know the answer now.
  6. Well, it wouldn't if it wasn't doing anything, but it will be playing 2k/4k video, online and offline, which does actually use up GPU power.
  7. Hey, i am getting a tv to put on top of my gaming rig, and as I watch videos while gaming quite often, I was wondering if I should connect the (4K) tv to the integrated graphics in order to make it not influence my games, and to avoid the games making my video lag. My current displays already force the graphics card to push 4960x1600, and I feel like a 4K video on top of that will just butcher the system too much. My my rig is as follows: i7 7700k 32 gb (2x16gb) 2666mhz corsair lpx MSI z270i Gaming Pro Carbon 480gb corsair force metric tons of disk drives stuck in random places, some via data, some via network, some via USB R9 Nano Silverstone Fortress FT03 mini Dell 2007fpb x2, 3007wfp, +some 4K tv (soon)
