  1. Yes it is I drove to LTX18 last year totally worth it so much fun. I will keep that in mind I did have to wait a fair amount of time to get through border crossing, also yes I agree traffic near Seattle sucks.
  2. If you are looking for a travel buddy/person to split hotel with hit me up. I drove up last year and it was not too bad, coming from eastern Oregon. It would be cool to have a regionally local travel buddy if possible. Just bought a brand new 2018 RAV4 so plenty of space to transport a rig, which i know i will be doing. Also anyone who wants to Convoy from Oregon hit me up!
  3. So a friend of mine started this company called Block Society, they do crypto currency analysis and education on how to trade in the market space. What do you think of him having a booth at LTX19, i mean i am sure he could hold a workshop and teach some basic market analysis and talk about crypto stuff. I know its not exactly the right demographic and not even sure if we could get a booth, more of just seeing if there is interest. I have not even told him i am posting this let alone if he would go, however if we get a lot of you interested i will do my best to make it happen. Im not trying to plug him but for people to get a better understanding of what i am talking about check out their website, www.blocksociety.net
  4. I am looking for more of a plug and play situation, i am not a heavy user and just need to bump up my performance enough to be able to get 60 fps in most titles. Besides that we dont know any true consumer benchmarks on RYZEN why not just build a new intel system if i was gonna do that or could do that.
  5. unfortunately i wont have the funds for a new system build anytime soon. Otherwise i agree i would wait, however i can get a used 8370 for less than $200 and a decent RX 480 for less than $200, making my upgrade sub $500.
  6. So i have kind of a unique situation, or perhaps not so unique. Currently i am finding that my rig that i picked up for $300 from a guy off the street is being challenged by the more recent titles of the day for gaming. I want to do a little bit of a system upgrade to be able to bring it up to snuff with 1080p gaming. My current situation running on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on a Samsung 850 Pro SSD AMD Phenom II X4 965 Asus M5A99X EVO 32 GB DDR3 Nvidia GTX 750ti Purposed upgrade AMD FX-8370 (With h100i for cooling) AMD RX 480 4GB card of some kind probably an MSI Armor OC version. I did not list the power or memory frequency because it really doesn't matter to me because i have a 1000 watt supply and games dont really use memory so much that it will affect my mood. Basically just looking for validation for what i am doing and any pointers i can get. From everything i have read and watched this seems like the best way to get the last bit of life out of this system without having to upgrade to a different system all together. Eventually i see myself upgrading to a Ryzen system perhaps next year, but for now i just need to update the system to make it more relevant in today's standards. Please feel free to bash me for posting in the wrong area.
