About Me

My current system is just a laptop (HP Pavilion x360). I plan on upgrading to something better but it serves me fine as it is. I am interested in getting a Tough book CF-31, as my laptop, and a decent rig with mainly good sound cards since I work a lot with radios. I'm a ham in Canada, if you must contact me you may so here : VE5LPL@ktecknix.com

I also have a HP rack with inside rack mounted:

  • Net gear something something 24port something something
    • Recovered from company that was going to though it out because ports 2 & 4 (or like 1 & 3) don't work... (Why waste it???)
  • Dell Power edge 2950
    • 8GB Ram
    • 1x Intel Zeon E5-????
    • Running Proxmox
    • Currently Completely Unused
  • Old Linksys switch from company mentioned above, Unused
  • Shelf from rackmount-solutions.com
    • on it: Kenwood TS-850
    • Icom IC-2100H
    • Baofeng UV-5R V2+  ($50)
      • Unused because I got a Kenwood TH-D74A ($750)

Plan on Buying a PE 1950 & PE 2950 for:

making my current 2950 as a NAS

making the new 2950 as a backup NAS

and turning the 1950 into a Proxmox server (what my current 2950 does).
