  1. Yeah mine are too heavy for him, they fall off of his head plus they aren't noise cancelling, the whole "like daddy's" thing is the little ones interpretation of it lol.
  2. tl;dr: Can anyone suggest a set of earphones that are noise cancelling, light, with minimal uncomfortable ear pressure effect, comfortable enough for a 3 year old and relatively robust? It's all in the title folks, we're going on a plane soon and my 3 year old has requested a headset like daddy's. After I'd gotten over the idea that my 3 year old was capable of such a request (when i was three, I was playing in mud!), I began to think that maybe that wasn't such a bad idea. The major turn off for me for noise cancelling headsets has always been that ear pressure effect that is present on most models. So my goal with this post is to find a set of headphones that: he likes will cut out most plane noise are robust (3 year old) don't have much or any ear pressure effect
  3. I have no idea if it works, my intention is to leave it by the dehumidifier for a good 24 hours to get rid of any moisture and then give it a try, it works i'll back it up immediately and then see what condition it's in.
  4. That's a fair point, I hadn't considered that the data unit would be removeable. I know it's a 512 gb model but is the SSD not going to be some hard wired proprietary deal?
  5. Ah of course, 70% Iso Alcohol contains water. Well cross your fingers that it only becomes the smelliest laptop in the world..
  6. This is actually the third one of these I've had, the other 2 being broken and replaced. I have had zero success in disassembling these things before and the workshops in my area have outright turned me down when I've had them look for me. Last one I'm going to buy I think, too much hassle when they get damaged Thanks for all the suggestions, i'll go at it with isopropyl alcohol later and see what I can do. Would an isopropyl alcohol bath harm it? Assuming it isn't conductive (the battery can't be removed)?
  7. Well the computer has been wiped with alcohol as best i can but there's no access to the inside to that extent. It's currently sitting in the laundry room with the (very powerful) dehumidifier set to full power. This thing dries the entire laundry load of a house of 6 adults in abouit 4 hours so i suspect it can deal with the liquid aspect without issue. What I'm worried about is that cat pee contains various chemicals and minerals that are or can be corrosive and/or are conductive, or am I wrong about that?
  8. This is going to be an awesome first post.. So today, for some bizarre reason my cat decided that climbing into my university bag and peeing a full load into it was an appropriate thing to do. Damage: 1 x Surface Pro 4 with type cover and pen. 1 x Mouse (PC mouse not the squeaky kind) 1 x All my uni written work. 1 X Cat Now I'm looking for serious advice, i sthere anything I can do to save the Surface Pro. It was turned off at the time and I believe the battery might have been flat which could be a blessing in isguise in this case. That said, how do you go about dealing with cat pee in a unit that is notoriously unopenable...
