  1. Hey Guys, so i built my computer in April 2016 I got a Pentium G4560(dual core with Hyper treading) , R9 280X (Upgraded to RX 470 2020), B250 Mobo, 8gb ram , 120 Gb SSD and 1.5 TB Hard Drive. I'm tempted to get an i5 7500 for about £70, or i could get an i7 7700 for about £135 ( so double the price, but is it double the performance? Also I've not been following Pc hardware for a few years since i built my rig, i don't know what a nice upgrade will be for my GPU, not sure what new GPUs are out there. All my games I've been playing have ran alright, so dead by daylight, total war Warhammer 2, a few story based games but older titles I guess, LA noir, Tomb raider. Call of Duty Warzone runs terribly probably because of the CPU limitations. If I'm looking to play newer titles like resident evil village etc, will the i5 7500 be a nice upgrade or should i get an i7 7700 for double the price. Most importantly, i,ve recently started Mining Crypto currencies on both GPU and CPU. My 4gb card cant mine Ethereum sadly as i recently found out. New GPU Prices are pretty high right now. Maybe its time to let go of My R9 280 X but im not sure where i can sell it tbh. Im open to your suggestions Guys, Lemme know what You think :)
  2. Thanks Guys, I'm going for a 10m cat 6 cable :), should be long enough.
  3. It is a floor below me, My room is on the top floor: attic. I would have to run the cable down the side of my stairs.
  4. what is a powerline adapter? what does it do?
  5. Hi guys, I just wanted to know which internet is better for gaming. Wired or non-wired. I currently use a little entry level (i got it for like £3) USB dongle which picks up my wifi hotspot which I then connect to, however, i noticed some weird stuff happening during online play in GTA 5, I would randomly disconnect during a heist and the other players would be puzzled and ask why I left the heist causing the whole mission to be failed. I've also noticed lag playing online in dead by daylight, which is annoying and gets my character killed a lot. do you recommend I get an ethernet cable or should I get a faster dongle that will enable me to get a faster wireless connection, if there is such a thing?
  6. Alright Man, thanks a lot, ill probably look into it some more.
  7. That's a shame. Wait, what kind of problems are they solving then?
  8. Ummm, this is all very new to me, so Ethereum is a crypto currency, inferior to Bitcoin. mining can be compared to mining gold or silver, just as those can be exchanged for real cash( as they have value), so can the crypto currencies? GPUs that are good for mining are in crazy high demand, and that's why prices are rising?
  9. Hi Guys, I don't get it. what is going on with GPU pricings! What is mining( in PC context), What is so special about this Ethereum stuff?
  10. Alright Bro will keep that in Mind, Thanks for the heads up.
  11. I also have a Msi board, I'm not sure if mine can do fan curves though MSI 911-7A70-003 PRO VDH Kaby Lake Intel B250 DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard
  12. Hi guys, I was wondering you could help me withy something, I currently have two 3 pin fans for my case. I am aware that if I connected them via 4 pin Molex, it would run at full speed all the time and ihave no control over it. if they were 4 pins i would be able to adjust the speed on my motherboard. but, how about my 3 pin fans, is there a way I could control the speed of this or better still can my motherboard control these for me based on my case temps. i know my mobo is able to recognize the fans as I can see them in the bios as well as their speeds, there is also an option to enable fan control. I also noticed that my case gets louder during more demanding gaming sessions as my GPU gets quite hot (R9 280X), is the noise because the fan speeds are increasing. Am I better off swapping my fans out for 4 pin ones if I want more control? hope I am making sense and Thanks for the Help
  13. Thanks a lot your post, helped me clarify a lot. My plan is to actually pick up at least a kaby lake i5 and a really powerful Nvidia GPU in the future. I just wanted to get more of an understanding on bottlenecks.
