  1. Thanks heaps for the response and info mate, was begining to think no one would respond. It's really appreciated. Ultimately I had trouble trying to figure out if Genre should be a secondary Category, Tag or Attribute as it technically could be either however, I would like to use best practice and make sure it's done correctly. I plan to add several 100 items so as you can imagine it will be VERY annoying having to re-do it if wrong. The Woo com info was good to get a scope of how to use category, tags and attributes.. it did confuse me a little as they used clothing as an example which, didn't have as many variables as movies/music. Eg.. Parent Categories - T-shirt Tags - Cat prints Attributes - Size - Colour With this example I feel like Cat prints should be a secondary/nested category instead of a Tag. Good idea about the post-it notes. I may give that a crack as I find it easier to figure things out when it's physically tangible.
  2. Hey all, hope this is the correct place in the form to post this kind of question. Just seeking some confirmation on using Categories, Tags & Attributes correctly when setting up Woo Store. In my example I will be selling Movies and Music. Within each of these will be genre and also format type (DVD, bluray, 4K.. ect) From my current understanding The structure should look something like this.. Parent Categories - Music - Movies Sub Categories of parents (Genre) - Action - Adventure - Crime - Ect… Tags - Actors - Region - Language - Ect.. Attributes - DVD - 4k - Ect… Does this sound correct? The confusing part was under which section Genre should fit into because they could also fit under tags or attributes I believe. The aim is to have one page with each respective parent category and the ability to refine the selection based on Genre and media format with Tags being searchable content. Thanks in advance for your help guys.
  3. I would google it and do some research. That's up to you.
  4. 1st, my two cents... Unless its 100% needed, I would avoid buying a laptop for gaming. Small for factor, lots of heat, it's loud, hard ware on components due to gaming, leads to shorter life span and unless your mobile 60-80% of the time you are paying significantly more for a laptop that wont last as long. Things to consider: - GTX 1080 is overkill for 1920x1080, let along SLI - CPU, get a CPU that is more for gaming ratherthen what is just top end. EG, 4 core rather then 8+ - 32gb ran is overkill for gaming 16gb will be fine, it will be a waste of money to get 32 or 64 - 1TB M.2 SSD will be fine. Get an external HHD for extra storage - Don't waste money on stuff you don't need, like a printer Did you have a budget??
  5. From what I can tell it has a fan header on the board which means you can get a fan hub/controller that you can plug multiple fans into. So depends on your power supple and case and fan hub controller you get.
  6. What will the laptop be used for? What are the 3x important key aspects about the laptop? How long do you plan own it for? Why a laptop and not a desktop?
  7. Have a look at CoolerMaster. They have some reasonable stuff and good for a first build. Just look up the socket type and compare dimensions of cooler to case size to make sure it will fit.
  8. Which is great!! But since you wont be doing any OC you may want to stick with 1080 perhaps.
  9. I would suggest searching youtibe for that one. I depends on what resolution you will be running games at. Agree, keep it simple for your first build.
  10. Ok cool, will need to suss it out more. Do you have any experience with any other file manager apps? What do you think about Directory Opus??
  11. Which is great when you are in front of the machine, but when you leave it over night and come back in the morning expecting for it to be done it's like? ? Btw forgot to say, thanks for your input and suggestions
  12. I do recall a while back when i did a large copy/paste directory that a couple of files had an issue for some reason and as a result it would stop the entire process rather than skipping the problem and finishing off the process. These can be something as simple as, file in use errors or permission issues.
  13. Yes, Keep it clean and lean I feel the same way but I see 3rd party apps for it and wonder if its something worth looking into. Still very much just sussing it out. Having said that, if its not broken, don't fix it ?
