  4. AMD is soon releasing a new enthusiasts CPU called "Threadthipper" and Intel is also about to release the intel i9 series. source: http://www.pcworld.com/article/3197184/components-processors/amd-ryzen-threadripper-prices-specs-release-date-and-more.html Source:http://www.zdnet.com/article/intel-core-i9-leaks-its-not-a-question-of-whether-you-really-need-twelve-cores-on-the-desktop-but-of/ For High end computing such as video editing, 3D modelling and CAD (perhaps 3D scanning and 3D printing (pre-processing))... What's your take on these? If you have anymore information please do share, speculations are also welcome

  9. Thanks, quite informative I'll try to find out more on that, for now all I can say is it looks like they imply that it does affect 3D production and rendering quite hugely since 1 tensor core = 9.3 cuda cores so maybe this also implies that tensors may replace cuda cores soon Take a look at this video: then my question- if it's no effect to 3D production, rendering and so on then why would they advertise it with 3D rendering?
  10. Tensor cores is Nvidia's latest if not just one of their latest technology in GPUs. I doubt they'd remove it, I think Tensor cores are the future version of Cuda cores since "1 Tensor =9.3 Cudas"
  11. Solidworks definitily does, Autodes is however a leader in this market so I assume they do. I know for a fact that 3Ds Max also utilizes cuda cores for rendering- it even has a special thingy called iterative rendering it's a real time rendering that capitalizes the cuda power. My followup question to this would be: does the software need to specify cuda vs tensor or just Nvidia GPU?
  12. How about Solidworks, Autodesk 3Ds Max, Maya and Inventor?
  13. 3D Modelled my project PC, these renders were only for water cooling illustrations
