  1. Upgrade cpu, 100%. You're on a very old platform now. Newer cpu architectures and faster ram on a newer, more stable motherboard with possibly a newer psu would help you significantly
  2. 650 watt is plenty... i think it might indeed be your motherboard.
  3. At first, the obvious, did you reinstall your drivers? Is there a active overclock?
  4. Heyhey Motion sickness is not a issue for me. I am just looking to see what gives the best experience. Ill go for 3 (or 4, one on too) curved monitors, since multiple people will use it. Ill go for a 1080ti (or 2, if sli scaling is okey ish) Will be sick
  5. Hello dear people of the forums, I am buiding a VR racing simulator with my father and we're not sure if we should choose a vr headset or 3 curved monitors. Money is not that much of an option, since we'll just save up for it. We'll mainly play F1 2017. What kind of resolution would you sudgest for the monitors? What VR headset would be the best option? We will be making and welding the simulation chassis ourselfs so that will be okey. Also, does anyone know how well F1 2017 scales in sli/crossfire? Of will a 1080Ti be enough to run 3 1440p ultrawides?
  6. if all you do is gaming, get a 8600(k) or 8700(k). will almost definantly perform better in games, unless games are suddenly optimized for more than 6 (hyperthreaded) cores
  7. well, the quadro p4000 i am getting is blower style and onle pulls about 100Watts, so its okey.and the chipset generates 7watts at max. so unless the vrm is toasty its gonna be fine
  8. yup its too bad.. really need to upgrade my quadro. if i hear nothing about it between now and 2 weeks, i'll grab the p4000 and see if it does the job (i'm sure it will tho, but last gen is allways nicer to have)
  9. great to hear! well if the bios and the cpu allow it, i will sertainly try to push it atleast to its maximum boost frequency (4.1GHz) highr than that is no good since it needs to be 100% stable for its daily heavy workloads
  10. as fas as i can see, does the Asus P10S WS support 2x m.2 NVMe if i find the settings, would it still be troubeling to make it bootable?
  11. heeeey guys, i was wondering if the Raijintek Tisis Core Edition would be enough to cool the Xeon e3-1245 v6. i have SEVEN silent wings 3 in my define R6 (im kind of a fan enthousiast, the more the better haha) or would you recommend a other pasive cooler? also, is there a pasive aftermarket cooling solution for the nVidia Quadro p4000? cant find any best regards
  12. unless you are using 1080Ti's or Titan Xp's or anything higher, pci-e 3.0 x8 won't bottleneck you. the 1080Ti is just scratching the limit of 3.0 x8 though
  13. how would it be troublesome if i may ask? i have never tried it.. i have pit the HDD's in a raid 10 array, so it will be as fast as he wants it to be. i used WB RED drives, is that any good for this? i thought they would be great to resist all other fibrations in the case.
  14. hello guys, i'm building a workstation for a client, and he wants to go with full relieabillity. now i'm asking myself if its possible to go raid-1 on NVM-e ssd's on the c236 platform and make it bootable. can anyone help me to get the answere? best regards
  15. Yup, tried to do it in windows but 144hz wasn't one of the options. The settings in the monitor only show what it recieves.. i also tried to create a custom resolution in the nvidea software, but that bricked my dp port, had to reinstall video drivers for that to work (using a dvi cable) im going to search for a dvi-d dual link cable (mine is not dual link, the monitor says), maybe that that helps, that my dp cable is nut good anymore.. while having the dvi-d cable inserted it did give me the option to go 144hz but than the monitor said it wasn't dual link
  16. 1050Ti maybe not at many games. maybe some esports ones. my 10603gb runs destiny 2 at 130 ish fps on high. so that might be something to look at
  17. hola, i somehow i can't ron on 144hz anymore. it has allways worked just fine but not anymore. i run a 1060 3gb paired with a ryzen 1600, no overclocks. monitor is a Benq XL2720Z using a DP cable. like i said it allways worked.. i have downloaded and installed all the latest drivers and am at the latest bios revision. can anybody help?
  18. I have the latest bios version allready, but thats a good one indeed. I changed the voltage and the clockspeed. Ill post some pictures when i get home tonight
  19. i adjusted the voltage the same way i did in the master utility. after the "overclock"in the bios everything dies and i need to clear cmos to get it to werk again. i have a 85o watt psu btw with a 80+ gold rating, so power limit is not the issue
  20. also, i would like a cooler from preferably noctua that can keep the baby cool at about 3,8Ghz and that fits in my thermaltake core v1 best regarts
  21. hey hello, i recently updraded to a Ryzen R51600 cpu and suprise suprise, i am having issues. the chip is amazing, and overclocks to 3,9Ghz stable after 4 hours of prime95, but i found it prustrating to enable this every time via the ryzen master utility. so i wanted to overclock the chip via the bios. this is where the crap starts. i cant boost the chip for even a megahertz. i also cant find anything i missed while doing this, anyone with the same problem? i am using validated RAM from corsair (2133mhz) and the motherbord is a ASRock AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac much appriciated, sorry for bad english
  22. what do you meen with H264 and H265? i genually dont know what it is what would this have to do with for example playing a 4k YouTube video?
