  1. it was running pretty consistently in someone else's CAD setup for ~3 or 4 years, and as far as I know it's not had any maintenance. When i got the thing it was caked in dust lol.
  2. It can run CS:GO, League, War Thunder, H1Z1, and the like all at a steady 120 FPS on a 1920x1080 60hz $99 monitor, so it works fine for what i need.
  3. about 5 days XD, i finally decided to move from a cheap notebook to a desktop for gaming, and cobbled together some old parts i had laying around, right now i'm using an HP Z400 workstation with a Xeon W3505, 3 channels of DDR3, with 12GB RAM, the FX 1800, and some no-name PSU that came with the original comp. It's an outdated setup to be sure, but going from running 5-10fps in teamfights in league to a steady 120 is like a dream.
  4. Nope http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_quadro_fx_1800_us.html
  5. Is it worth it to repaste an FX 1800? I'm seeing decent performance out of it still, and i've got some Arctic Mx-4 laying around, right now it's still got stock paste. How much performance improvement can I expect?
  6. Yeah, it's a 6 slot, 3 channel setup, so the default would be 1/channel hence 3, but i have tried different RAM combos.
  7. Thanks, before i posted, i reseated processor, GPU, RAM, etc. The article seems to point to a motherboard issue, and fortunately i have a second system, nearly identical except for not having a 2nd cooler.
  8. Hello, My side project right now is an HP Z400 workstation, with a Xeon W3503, and a Quadro FX1800. I've installed a clean 320GB HDD, 3x2GB in the three channels, power supply, front panel stuff, and all that. Whenever I try to boot on the system, the red light flashes on the power indicator, and the PC speaker beeps incessantly. What have I done wrong?
  9. In fact, I do, and I already have anntenae, so frankly I don't see the problem
