  1. Did a quick check. Blender uses around 15% cpu.
  2. Yeah, I use GPU compute in Blender. Brings it straight up to 100% usage and recks any kind of GUI.
  3. I have gotten into some 3D modelling and find it amazingly fun. Rendering with the GPU is a problem though. While rendering, the GPU hogs almost everything and leaves the Windows gui incredibly choppy and almost unusable. So I'm trying to find a way to bypass this. I would like to avoid buying a second card and connect my monitors (I have 2) to each card. So I was wondering if it is possible to buy a multimedia gpu and connect it to my 1080 with a SLI cable without using SLI. My reasoning is that when the 1080 is used for rendering, my computer uses the multimedia card so I can still use the pc without lag and choppyness in the GUI. Without having to connect the monitor cables into the multimedia card. Is this somehow possible? If not, is there another good solution for this (I would prefer something that works automatic)? I don't want to spend alot of money on a dedicated render card. I hope I made my thinking clear! Thanks!
