  1. Hello guys, Just wanted to share a recent project. Triangle was always an interesting geometric shape and at that time of building I haven't found triangle pc case on the web so I decided to build one. Primary function of this case is to be NAS. I don't have need for anything bigger so building one with 4 drives was enough. I am sorry I didn't log the entire process but I do have some pictures of the core of the system as well as the finished product. The core was built from aluminum, L profiles were bent to the 60 degree angle. After some drilling and combining this was assembled: The motherboard in the picture is mini-ATX board with integrated CPU, ASRock N3150-ITX. It also has 16GB or RAM, as recommended by FreeNAS community because sometime in the future I will put 4x4TB drives in there. For now these are dummy drives As you can see the skeleton is allowing easy access to the ports as well as the hard drives if they need to be replaced. The enclosure is built from MDF, two sides are 16mm MDF and the back is 20mm MDF. The difference is required for the extra space for the ball bearings drawer slides. I painted it black and then polished it. This is how it looked like after a few coats of paint You can see my brother in the reflection. After that come the fine sanding and polishing, the result: Final assembled NAS looks like this: The top slides up so you can easily access the components inside. Maybe next project will have motorized open and close mechanism Thanks for reading Wish you all the best. Greetings from Montenegro.
