  1. Is this /s or what?... You've got a 5930k. You'd be hard pressed to find anything that would be bottlenecked by that. Anyway, nice build dude. That is seriously sweet.
  2. G213 Prodigy (or Ducky Shine 6. Love that thing) and G403 Wireless (Logitech fanboy) Complimented by a pair of G403's
  3. True Also yes, macbooks are the sort of things hipsters and 15 year olds buy so they can look at facebook. Not that that's a bad thing. Just simply that it could be done much cheaper And no one does m9. You could do that with a pentium. And same here. I have a chromebook but regret it, cause the screen's not so good, and I can't actually download programs on it. RIP
  4. Even mbp is kinda trash m8. And yeah the display's pretty good for browsing. Other than that, it'll get rekt. And ah pretty much a chromebook that can actually use other things besides what our google overlords say you can use *cough cough* chromeOS is worthless *cough cough* oh dear lord I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
  5. Imho all of them are pretty trash m9. What they charge $1200 for is ridiculous. I could make something that would wreck a mac for ~$700. Yeah, the screen's nice, but you could make a build with a true 4k monitor for way less. And as for the build quality, I find it very eh. It's certainly not bad, but I find them to seem a little flimsy. But that's just more of a feel factor.
  6. Funny thing is, back when I started gaming, I played CS GO for quite a while with V sync enabled just cause I was a skrub and didnt know what it was, so I didn't mess with it. I did actually pretty well, and it was only when I was around Gold Nova level I found out that V sync is actually kinda terrible. So unless he's a super pro esports gamer, if the input lag is better than with V sync, it'll probably be fine
  7. 1060 is slightly faster edit: 1060 price difference is negligible. Actually though, i'm gonna have to change my vote in favor of the 480, cause if he ever wants to upgrade in the future, he can do 480 Crossfire. 1060 can't sli so rip
  8. Ooh, a TARDIS... excuse me while i fanboy for a moment
  9. What's an 1880ti? I assume you're referring to the 1080ti, and that's way out of his price range if his budget is in the style of a 4gb 480. Second, a Titan X? What in the world, that's a $1000 GPU.
  10. Hmm. How odd Yeah I know a 980 can run gta v. But I figured something else (i.e cpu) wasn't up to snuff
  11. What's your system specs? It could be that some other part of your system is below the min requirements for GTA.
  12. Uh that's your problem right there. The minimum requirement for GTA V is 8gb RAM edit: o shit it said vram my bad
  13. Usually when you get big enough to want or need sponsorships, the companies come to you. Like in most of Linus's tech review videos, the review is usually paid for by the company making the product, and they directly contact him and ask him to do a review of it. The only company I know of that will sponsor via you sending them an email or something is Gamma Labs/GFUEL
  14. I'm aware that it's a rebrand, I just expected AMD's next release to be cards that greatly improved upon the RX4XX series, and were more high end cards.
  15. Not too shabby. But to reiterate what everyone else is saying, wait for the RX5XX series. They just got announced and they'll probably be for sale soon
  16. w h a t s t h e d e a l w i t h N v i d i a ? 7 -> 9 9 -> 10 10 -> 20 dingdingdingding simple math u dingus
  17. This is a bit disappointing... I expected to see the RX5XX cards completely outperform the RX4 series. But they're only slightly better, for the same money. I mean, the RX 480 is about a $250 card, whereas the 580 is $270 and only marginally outperforms it.
  18. Exactly. My dad bought one for his work for like ~$50, and it worked pretty well as an NAS server. Handled multiple terabytes of information for his projects and never went down once. And true, 4GB RAM won't get you anywhere with a server He might as well just do a custom build if he wants an actual client server
  19. Exactly. I mean hell, you could probably buy a file server from friggin staples for $50 and it'd work just the same. But if he's gonna be running a client server, he's royally fucked if he's gonna attempt it on this
