  1. I installed windows 10 and now when I render any videos in mp4 format they end up a mess. When I watch the raw file in vegas it plays fine it's only when I render using any of the mp4 rendering options. My windows 10 install is a fresh install I did not upgrade to win10. Here is what the videos look like after the render: https://youtu.be/5TreEq_ciLQ Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? Specs: i7-2600k EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked Dxtory (using 64-bit YUV422 BT.709 VCM codec)
  2. This doesn't look good.... http://i.imgur.com/HA9MKxA.jpg Should I let the test run all the way through?
  3. After reading the depressing news that it's might be my motherboard or CPU I swapped my memory with my brothers system. He only has 2 2GB sticks instead of 2 4GB sticks but I figured since I got errors in dual channel I would give it a try. I've had both systems testing for about 3 hours (at the time of posting this) and no errors have come up. Both sets of memory are 1600MHz. Could the capacity of the memory have something to do with the errors? EDIT: I stopped prime95 on my brothers system and restarted it using more memory and it had an error at the start. I restarted the test but it didn't error right away. Does this mean it's more likely to be the memory now?
  4. I'm having problems with the memory (I think) I've had in my rig since I built it. Starting Monday WoW was giving me error 132 when I would close the game. Tuesday opening and closing WoW would give me error 132. Last on Wednesday, the nightmare day, opening and closing WoW I would get error 132, have memory dumps (one from opening chrome the other from just sitting idle at desktop), and War Thunder was either having lighting/shadows flickering or textures flickering then crashed. After War Thunder crashed I turn off my overclock and started Prime 95 and got errors very fast on 3 of the workers. Then I ran Prime 95 all night (12hr test) Wednesday with one stick then all day (10hr test) Thursday on the other stick. I ran both in slot one but got no errors. I put both back in but swapped positions and got errors very fast again on 3 workers. I'm not sure if it matters but I get errors on different workers each time I start it. Once with 1, 4, and 5; once with 1, 2, and 3; and last on 2, 4, and 5. I also updated my BIOS before that last time I ran Prime 95. Does this sound like it's the memory has gone bad? I'm not sure since it worked for over 10 hours in single channel but failed in dual channel. Specs i7-2600K (tested at stock speeds but normally ran at 4.2GHz) 8GB G.Skill Ripjaw X 1600 MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) EVGA GTX 770 Super Clocked Corsair HX750 pls help i need wow back in my life. *heavy breathing*
  5. I haven't seen any that looked out of the ordinary. But I don't really know what to look for in there.
  6. I've been having a problem with my computer I run a TeamSpeak and Minecraft servers on. The computer will show it's uploading (I can see network activity on Task Manager and Uploading in my routers Traffic Manager). If I restart or re-log in to windows the computer it will stop but sometimes with in an hour it will start up again and other times nothing for a week. When it happens it causes my ping to either mildly high (80-110ms) or extremely high (<300ms).I've run Microsoft Essentials, Avast, and Malwarebytes but nothing was found. Any ideas on finding what is causing this and stopping it? Would it be easier to just re-install windows? Specs: Win 7 Ultimate Intel Xeon E3-1230 SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCM-F-O Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR3 1333 Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 CORSAIR CX series CX500
  7. I called yesterday and scheduled a tech to come on the 25th. Wish there was an earlier opening but sounded like they were busy since I was on hold for about 45 minutes. Usually it's only about 15 minute wait. The temps do affect the Power Level. My family put a fan next to it (highly doubt it helped) and the power level was hovering at -2dBmV to +1dBmV. It didn't go to -4dBmV but I don't know how sensitive these modems are. That could be nothing for all I know, it may not get affected until -10dBmV. I tried playing World of Tanks today since the new patch cam out and my ping was sitting at 80-130ms the whole time, the normal is 20-50ms. Thanks for the help. I'll update with what the tech says when they hopefully fix it.
  8. I posted the newer picture of the loss I'm getting. The lowest I saw it go was -4dBmV on channel 188, but I wasn't monitoring it very well. I have to refresh the page to see the readings. The only thing I don't understand is why would ipv6 cause the problem on the new router and not the old? I'll give it a try tonight and see if anything happens. Hopefully it will help until the tech comes out. Thanks for the suggestion. EDIT:I looked at the ipv6 settings and it is already disabled. ASUS had an FAQ on how to turn it on but the options they had weren't there. I looked for the latest firmware through the router and nothing. Look at the website and there was one on the Sept. 11th. I turned it on since it was off As I was typing all of that it rebooted again. So it has been disabled / off since I first plugged in the router. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner but even just plugging on only my desktop next to the modem it is happening. I don't know where the CMTS are at for our development. And I don't know any neighbors that are in to computers that could say if they are getting a similar problem. I can't access the modem log until the modem is running fine. So I can't see what the signal is like just before the reboot or during the reboot. I have to refresh the page to see "current" readings. If my ISP has a dip/spike I won't see it unless I get a lucky refresh. Edit: here is one I got as quick as I could right after a reboot. http://i.imgur.com/NFh7FK2.png (this is with only my desktop plugged directly to the modem) The modem is in my basement office but it hasn't done this until I updated the router. The room would get hot (~78F ~25.5C) but I just installed an exhaust fan in the office 3 weeks ago dropping the temperature to about 75F ~23.8C. Even during the heat wave the east coast US got over the summer (before the exhaust install) I never had the problem and the office got up to 82F ~27.7C. Also it happens, from what I could tell, randomly. I could watch YouTube or Twitch for a few hours and not have a single problem. Then I could get off the computer for a wile and check facebook, twitter, and reddit and will reboot shortly after the pages load. It does run warm but it feels like it's about the same temperature as every other modem and router I've come across. It also doesn't help I don't know that much about networking so most of this is getting me frustrated. Also having a brother that LOVES League of Legends breathing down my neck isn't helping. How did you get yours fixed / working?
  9. Looks like it's my ISP since it's only the modem getting affected. I updated the main post with the new information. Thanks for the help.
  10. Updated the post. Looks like it might be my ISP sending in low signal, at least from doing research on the error code I'm getting. If anyone knows the signal in the first picture are low, normal or high please let me know.
  11. I had a similar experience with my ISP. Our internet was turned off because PenTeleData monitors your uploads for any copyrighted material going though all P2P programs. When we called our cable provider they transferred us to PenTeleData (our ISP) and the lady rambled on about the torrent that was still running and won't allow us to use the internet until it's off. We turn it off and then ask why they monitor what we upload and the she says "to protect our costumers." She wouldn't go any deeper then that. Then we ask why they do compared to their main competitor in our area, RCN which doesn't. She then says "We don't pay attention to what our competitors do on theirs service." How the hell do you expect to run a business with out trying to one up your competitor?? How they do it is lay their lines before any other company then have them buried so they are the only cable provider in the neighborhood, development, ect. That is the only thing keeping Service Electric and PenTeleData afloat. If any other company came in they would be out of business not long after. Another thing is they will sponsor tons of events, get awards for being a local company, but will pump as little money into their infrastructure as they can to increase their quarterly income.
  12. My modem and router don't get that dusty. So I can't see that being the problem, but I'll take a can of air to it tonight.
  13. I recently (Thursday) just bought the ASUS RT-N66U and since then my modem has been power cycling by it's self. With my old Linksys E1000 it never did this. I bought the modem ( MOTOROLA SB6121 SURFboard ) in February and didn't have any power cycling problems with the Linksys router. The only thing that has changed is the ASUS router has gigabit ports and the Linksys only had 10/100 ports. The light on the modem for ethernet activity changed from amber to blue and the manual says blue is for gigabit and amber is for 10/100. When the modem resets my external IP doesn't change. The manual also showed me how to login to the modem to see if there are any errors. Most of the errors are DNS refresh errors (assuming that's ISP side) but some of them say power was reset. All of the power reset time and date say: Jan. 1 1970 00:00:15. Since I bought the ASUS RT-N66U I have not tried replugging the E1000 in to see if it still is happening. I haven't tried because it only happened once between Thursday and Sunday but family at home said it happened 4 times since they all got home. I didn't have any problems this morning. EDIT: Just got home and looked at the log for the modem and I'm seeing this just before it restarts: No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out I looked it up and the only thing I've seen is having low signal coming in to the house. Looks like I have to call my ISP.... EDIT 2: Called my ISP and instantly the rep knew what the problem was. It's too low of a signal coming in and the modem resetting to get the right gain, the funny thing is not long after I hung up it happened twice three times. A tech is supposed to come out here next Wednesday to see if they ca fix the problem. The only weird thing is when the cable was turned on here the tech said we had really great signal coming in. Wonder what happened between then and now... Pictures: The first one is the signal I'm getting coming in to the house. Looks like it's my ISP because the signal keeps dropping...(second picture) First Picture Second Picture Does anyone know why it keeps resetting with the ASUS RT-N66U and not the Linksys E1000? I'm currently at work so I can't try anything until midnight tonight. (US Eastern Time) Thanks for any help.

    Rate your ISP!

-PenTeleData -25mbps Down, 1mbps Up -22-25mbps Down, 0.8mbps Up -2/5 They are unreliable every 2 weeks. I've had them since February and had to call them 4 times. Twice about bad ping, once about no internet at all, and once about not getting the correct speeds (was only getting 15mbps down for the first few weeks). Just last Thursday to Sunday our ping was hovering around 100ms and on Friday it was spiking to 500ms. I can't change to a different provider because they are the only one in the neighborhood. The last house I had with them, same reason the only provider, our modem would stop sending and receiving data. We had it replaced 3 times, had a tech install a "doo-dad," that's what the tech called it, on our line going in to the modem and it still would stop sending and receiving data. Last their customer service would rather blame you and your equipment before blaming their end or equipment. If anyone has a choice when dealing with them most times choosing the competitor is the better choice.
