    First off do you have fan curves set in the bios for your fans? This could be the solution that costs you $0.

    Best airflow is Delta fans, no question. Make sure to keep you fingers out of them! Best airflow with a blue led will be Corsair Ml Pro.

    Noctua sells fan clips I believe.

    I've had the standard 140mm version of that fan mounted horizontal for about 6 months and didn't notice or hear anything irregular. These fans are damn good, it's surprising they are rarely mentioned when people want a quiet fan. I've had noctuas and these are comparable imo.     If $849 for 16c threadripper holds true, intel will be in a tough spot. The prices prices still seem jacked up, and some of the chips for x299 make no sense. A 4 thread HEDT chip in 2017? Lol. The only postive thing i've heard about the 4 core x299 chips Is that you can go up to 10 core 12 core ect. Without changing platforms. If the BEST part about a product is that it's easier to get a different product, then the original product serves no purpose. So far it seems AMD caught intel with their pants down.

    900 series lasted about 20 months and Pascal came out in May of 2016.....

    Architecture preview and new roadmap. I'd be shocked if they said anything about consumer Volta being out this year.
