  1. "Our turn over may rise..." who is gonna get canned ? over
  2. actually it's no longer company policy to release videos on FP early. They are usually uploaded at the same time. Sometimes the scheduled video-uploads for the weekend just get dumped all at once on friday/saturday depending on your timezone.
  3. they can't publish the video if they want to go live on the channel. that's the only one push notification per day thing imho
  4. i hope they use the extra time to make fewer but better videos. and not only more accurate ones.
  5. it's not on floatplane yet either
  6. unfortunately Linus doesn't address the that fact, that many senior writers criticize the frequency and consequently quality of their own videos. "not being proud of any of the recent videos" is some damning statement that may reflect in the writers moral and certainly doesn't fit the self-stated goal of producing "evergreen content". don't think free snacks are gonna fix that. maybe not watching those employee videos wasn't such a good idea.
  7. Does the LTX 2023 content stay on the 10$ Tier ? For example could I sub to the 10$ tier in September and watch all the "old" LTX 2023 videos ? Or do I have to be on the 10$ tier during LTX 2023 in order to have access to those videos ? Also is it certain now that I can return to the 3$ OG tier ?
  8. I've been looking at SD cards to use in a surveillance camera. I've come across several high endurance models supposedly designed for the constant use with a dash-cam or surveillance camera, like SanDisk's High/Max Endurance, WD Purple microSD or Samsungs Pro Endurance. But the only distinct feature of those cards seem to be that the warranty period for the lower capacity and/or cheaper models are significantly shorter, usually 2 or 3 years compared to the 10 to life for the standard cards. Obviously in place to avoid the more frequent RMA claims through extensive use they claimed to be designed for. Only the most expensive models like SanDisk's Max Endurance 128/256GB have comparable warranty periods at about double the cost. Also what measures, other than extensive over-provisioning, could be taken to "harden" the cards ? MLC memory chips seems to be exclusive to small capacity industrial cards. I would really prefer a long lasting card, not for the cost of replacing it, but rather to avoid getting out on the 15 foot ladder every 6 month. But if it's all the same after all.... Does anybody have any insight into this ?
  9. does anyone know how to access the service menu/info of gigabyte aorus monitor like in the picture ?
  10. there where some off-hand remarks that i suppose he didn't want immortalized regarding the nvidia thing. btw the wan show isn't on floatplane at all, which i think should change.
