So my last PC was a 3930k with a Rampage IV Extreme Dead from a leaked AIO cooler. Now i have been waiting for ryzen to release. So i have come down to
Processor: AMD R7 1700x vs 6850k
Motherboard: ??? vs Asus X99-A II ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory
So my biggest limiting factor is PCIe lanes or sata drives? I stream games like Battlefield 4/1 Overwatch and other games. Now with the 3930k i hit the limit of what i could stream at 1080p @ 30fps or 720p @ 60fps and still look good.(not pixels all over) I also save the recording at the same time, my 2tb drives tended to stay 60-80% full with uncut video and a 3 tb drive with done stuff on it and the other has most of my movies i got saved. The SSDs are 128GB for OS and 256GB Programs and 960GB for games. I do have a few drives i plug in and clone my stuff every few months so i do not lose a lot.
So do i spend more on the 6850k and not get a GTX 1080 but for sure not hit some limit of PCIe with all my drives running or a risk a r7 1700x and get a GTX 1080 and find a limit on the pcie with my drives? As i said i have drives not in but i do use but I already looking for more space so been look at PCIe raid cards for more drives.
