  1. So I leave my computer on sleep like most people, I "Wake up" the computer and see no output. The fans on the graphic card have stopped but the computer seems to be working normally. I plug in the GPU (RX 580) to a different PCI lane and the fans begin to spin however no output after 3 restarts. The CPU inbuilt graphics gives an output however it could be a PCU powering issue, a motherboard powering issue or the GPU has stopped working but I have no way to test this. Is there any companies who offer refunds on the parts if you use them and it doesn't fix the problem. My first port of call would be to buy a new graphics card however I don't normally buy new because of the price increase. I don't have any spare parts since I sold my last rig. The 580 was second hand and used in a mining rig, however I've experienced no overheating issues. The motherboard is a gigabyte Z97M DS3H CPU 4690K overclocked 4.0GHz PSU 650W Corsair bronze. I used to have a R9 280X with higher power draw however didn't have any power draw problems with that card.
  2. Hey so I decided to build my own computer a few months back it was working fine and dandy until last week. Im on the windows 10 upgrade software from windows, I have no DVD drives available to me so setting up the operating system was no less than a nightmare. So last week I was having a late night game of CIV 5, running the game paused it and put my computer in Sleep mode, I woke up to a power cut and turned on my PC to find it was playing up. It stated the Download and desktop was not in this location, I went to properties reset it to default and everything was back to normal. Yeah apart from it wasn't for some reason none of my data saves such as options in games, my download glitch around, programs such as Utorrent upon launch states a HTA error and several glitches in other programs. I then try to reset my operating system back to factory default to see if it would help with anything and the PC just failed to reset, I tried several options however all failed, the hard drives are brand new and I simply cannot afford to buy new ones. System specs: Gigabyte Z97-HD3 Motherboard Intel i5 4690k 4.5ghz overclock CPU DDR3 1337Mhz RAM 1TB Hard Drive 650W Cosair 90% power supply Gigabyte windforce 3 R9 280x GPU Thanks Nathan
  3. Heyya Linus's Tech Tippers, Just a quick question Im looking to buy a Dell P2715Q 27" for business and gaming (I run my own company so its k) but I was just wondering which graphics cards would support my display with 60+ fps gaming if possible at some of the max settings. I have a i5 4690k cpu so that might bottle neck the card a bit although it is overclocked to 4.9ghz. Regards
