I am planning to use 3 external 27" monitors, that's why I was saying to have an external GPU
-
Thank you for the suggestion. The budget is around 900, going a bit above it is not a problem, that's just a ballpark number. I was looking at something with a non-integrated graphics card, even one like 2060 or even as low as 1660ti, as I don;t thing integrated would run 3 external monitors smoothly. I am currently looking at this https://www.newegg.com/p/2WC-000C-03HE0?Item=9SIA7ABD161155&quicklink=true , but that seems like too much and a lot of things that I don't reallty need (32 gb are too much and other things.

Hello everyone and thank you for reading this post. Let me preface saying I am a hardware enthusiast, build all my machines and love that. On the other side, I don't really keep myself up to date with laptops, that's why I am asking this question here. I need some advice for a Laptop I am looking to buy for a friend. He needs this laptop mostly for day trading but that means having a lot of chrome tabs open at the same time as programs and live podcasts (probably need more than 8GB RAM). I am looking to setup a desk in his house where he would like, when there, to hook up this computer to 3 27" external monitors (I assume a integrated GPU would be nice for this) and, when leaving the house for a few days, bring it with him. This means he needs it to be able to easily connect and disconnect from a docking station so he can do this with ease. He doesn't really mind if it's a little bit on the heavy side. My budget is around 900$ for the laptop and docking station. I assume it would probably make more sense for me to look among gaming laptops because of my GPU, RAM and cooling needs (he will be using this a lot). Thank you in advance for your input, it's very appreciated, JohanAngel

I would be needing a microphone that sits on my desk while I stream. These seem to be the handheld ones and that would make it a little hard for me Would I be getting a stand too?
-
Hello everybody, I recently got back into streaming and I realized that the audio setup that I am running at the moment is just not good enough since I use my headphones mic which sounds average (good for being a headphones mic, but not satisfactory). This means that I am in the market for a good mic that can increase my audio quality. Budget would be somewhere in the 100-150$ and I would prefer to have something USB. I have looked at some options online and It looks like the race is between the AT2020, the Blue Yeti Pro and the HyperX quadcast. I am unsure, though, if there are also other, better options that would fit my necessity better. The main concern that I have is that I am using a rather noisy mechanical keyboard so, in case there would be some mic or setting that I could use in order to get rid or diminish the noise coming from that, it would be great! I thank all of you that would be helping me. This is truly a great community and I could not think of a better place to find help with something this important for me. Thanks in advance

Ok, I understand better now, thanks. My question now is, at that price, isn't there anything better out there? @dizmo @Rasbir Singh

Sorry my ignorance, but why is this better? I read that TN is usually better for gaming, especially at low delay and high FPS.
-
Yeah, but I'm not an expert in like contrast, angles, brightness and all of those things
-
yeah, I tried, but Benq does not make 27" G-Sync monitors. They are my #1 brand when it comes so monitors.

Hello everyone, I'm in the market for a new monitor. I already have a 3 monitor setup, but they are all pretty average, so I was looking to substitute only 1 of them, the main one, to optimize it for gaming. Of course, I would like it to be 27" to go with the other 2 monitors that I already have. Since I have a 1080 I was looking something with G-Sync and with at least 120Hz not less than 1440p with around 1ms response rate. After this, I don't really understand much about monitors so I would like some help if you guys could. My budget is around 500-600 $ so I was leaning on this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N11QIYW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 which seems to be pretty good for my needs. Thanks in advance for your help

the problem is that, even though here there is a 1080 (+6% compared to 1070Ti), this monitor does not have G-Sync

Yeah, I thought of that too, but I think he will be using his old HDD for steam or things like that

Sorry, forgot to mention it. It's mostly gaming and the budget is around 1500$. Intel only because he had problems with AMD in the past and decided not to buy again.
