How can that happen? I mean like, what could I have done to the GPU that would kill the controller?

I know, but no matter what I do with the AMD software, the fan speed doesn't change at all ?

Yes I used DDU to clean and reinstall. Also checked Task manager, there aren't any programs running in the background. I guess a BIOS flashback or a new motherboard are the only viable solutions ?

Really? But the website warns me about going back to a previous version of the BIOS. Alright, I'll try tonight after work when I get home. I'm the Ph and work an 8am-5pm job ? thanks!

So I recently updated my motherboard BIOS (ASRock AB350M-HDV) to its latest version (5.90 on manufacturers website) and the GPUs fan is always running at full speed (over 3000+ RPM based on readings from GPU-Z) when turning on and even while on idle. When I'm gaming, it gets even worse because the GPU gets hot quickly. P.S. my GPU is a Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB (non + model) Any help is greatly appreciated ? please the noise is unbearable. Thank you!!!!

Yeah I probably didn't explain it properly lol my post does seem all over the place ? basically, the CPU coolers fan was never audible under load but after the BIOS update, it now seems like it's spinning way more than it usually does under load. And even after the temperatures go down, it's still really loud. Changing the fan profile to silent mode via BIOS doesn't lower the noise either
-
So I updated my BIOS/UEFI of my motherboard to the latest version (5.90 on the manufacturer website) because I'm planning to upgrade from the R5 1500X to R5 3500X. Had no plans on buying a new motherboard either. Also, I didn't notice any problems until a few moments after booting up. The stock fan of the cooler (Wraith Spire) was constantly ramping up and slowing down at random intervals, even on idle and not overclocked. It stopped after I cleaned the cooler. Now, the fan gets really loud at 60c and the fan gets really loud after I do 1 benchmark run of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and keeps running loud even after the temperature has normalized. I've tried virtually everything, cleaning the heat sink with soap and water, dusted the CPU fan, cleaned the GPU fans and cooler, reseat RAM, reset UEFI defaults, set the fan profile to silent, nothing. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks PS: Haven't overclocked it yet

specs are Ryzen 5 1500x @ 3.7ghz, Sapphire Nitro Rx 480 4gb factory OC, with 500gb SSD, 1tb HDD, 4 fans, 8gb ram @ 2400mhz

thanks dude. but it's fully modular. is there any non-modular?
-
what's a good non-modular, 80+ bronze power supply in the 500w-600w range with all black cables? all feedback is appreciated. thank you!

Hi all. I have a pirated Windows 10 and I can't run XCOM: Enemy Unknown without the .NET Framework 3.5. I have tried almost every solution I've found and I feel like I can't install the Framework without getting a legit copy of Windows 10 and I don't want to have to go through with that since I live in the Philippines and it's hella expensive here and I don't exactly have the budget for it right now. Any suggestions to bypass the OS or anything else is greatly appreciated. Thank you. edit: I have checked the Steam Forums, Toms Hardware, and the Microsoft Forums. None of the solutions have worked for me. It keeps giving me the error code 0x800F081F.
