I have a 6700k and a maximus viii hero but for future pc upgrades i want to get this so it wont be too much money at a time.

I am looking for a cpu cooler upgrade and i was debating in open or close loop cooling. I would like the customizable in open but i heard closed is more efficient and safer. Please help me and i dont care about price.
