Are you thinking about haute an UX designer? Coders are important for sure, but I feel like an UX designer can help you guys deliver better user experience for both viewer and creator.

What's your psu, generally don't want to go over 65ºC for extended periods with that chip from what I can figure from OCer reports so basically it depends on your current temps, and whether you have overhead. If nothing else you might be able to get a little higher speeds without raising voltage, and voltage is what causes heat so might as well try even if you're already thermally limited

disassemble, inspect. REMOVE POWER.

I'm more curious of how you take pictures of smell....... 

Inspect every inch of the machine. Most likely cause is power supply.

it can not be your cooler that smells please take out your cpu and check if there is nothing near the pins around them take a close look the whole area.

Should work ok. I'd stick a bit of electrical over the covered port though just be safe.

there may be some misalignment of the tension tabs or the holes themselves in relation to the board above the standoffs that could do some damage. be careful.
