How well does gtx 1060 handle solidworks under heavy designing Relatively priced quadro m1200 has 4gigs whereas 1060 has 6gigs Is 4gb sufficient for very large assemblies or is it better to opt 6gb? Thanks in advance Please reply

Hii, I have a legion y720 laptop which has thunderbolt 3 port,specs are Cpu:7700hq, 16gb ram It has gtx 1060 in it. I generally do solid works,CATIA and other cad softwares. we are doing to make a car in our project,so I want to go serious in designing So I am planing to buy a used quadro 4000 and gdc egpu adaptor for cad, for performance. Instead of connecting to mpcie slot I want to connect the actor with thunderbolt 3 to HDMI and a HDMI cable (in pictures) to connect the egpu setup,my question is will I able to use the graphic card like this. Bcz it will be difficult to maintain a cable hanging from laptop , moreover it's a new laptop . I would like to buy used quadro 4000 .can I use thunderbolt 3 to HDMI and HDMI cable to connect the adapter and laptop ?? Bro then 1050ti or 1060 bcz Quadros are costlier I game very less ,not picky about fps ,I just game for time pass but I will use my laptop for 3d designing for my project

At last I am left with two laptops with 800$ 1050ti laptop and 1200$ 1060 laptop what should I prefer , is 400$ extra worth only for 1060 for better cad performance?? Reply me fast plz ,I need to decide very fast,thanks in advance

Wahh,thank you so much That means I need to buy i7 instead of i5 laptop fine And what is this rendering As long as graphic card doesn't trouble me while drawing something I am fine, I cannot afford workstations they are about 2k$ not at all my budget I can buy 1050ti laptop With some more trouble I can manage to get 1060 laptop If 1060 laptop will help me do cad better than 1050ti at times of big complex (very rare) I would like to go with 1060 And one more thing all 1060laptoos provide thunderbolt 3 so one fine day I can find a extrnla graphic amplifier and Huck up on quadro card
