  1. Hi all, Budget: Rs.35,000/- or USD 400 lesser the better This is the maximum limit I cannot push beyond this Need suggestions for a 1440p monitor for 24 or 25 inch, for me USB C connectivity is a must these are my options as of now, I am a casual gamer I do play CS Go but am not a competitive gamer, the other games I play are AoE2, AOM or other FPS games don't care much about high refresh rate. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0737M9QP7 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0BCX96KFY https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0BRQV14YD https://www.dell.com/en-in/work/shop/dell-24-usb-c-hub-monitor-p2423de/apd/210-bdkp/monitors-monitor-accessories https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/accessories-and-monitors/monitors/professional/P24h-30D22238QP023-8inch-Monitor-HDMI/p/63B3GAR6WW I tried but am not able to get too many reviews for these monitors The Monitor will be used for watching Coding + Office Work, Tutorials, YouTube vids, movies/series, and Casual gaming. Open to Suggestions... I prefer the LG as it is cheaper and has 65-watt USB C support which is sufficient for my current needs personal/office lappy Both are 65 watts or lesser, the thing I don't know is if the LG panel is true 8 bit panel and will the colour be good and text be sharp enough or depending on the panel quality I will be screwed... I previously owned the Acer XV 272U 1440p 144Hz monitor, I found the monitor to be too bright for me, even with brightness set to 0 and contrast to 20 or lower the monitor seemed too bright, another issue I had was any changes to brightness contrast etc needed to be saved/overwritten over exiting modes/profiles like Action Gaming Sports etc... so I am hoping the new monitor is not as bright and a bit easy on the eyes, the Macbook Air I own has really sharp, clean text I am hoping 1440p @ 24-inch thanks to the bump in PPI will help make the display better for me I already own a monitor arm so don't care about the Monitor stand. Some questions I have: Q1) Does getting a display with a wider colour gamut/low delta e< 3/2 mean a better more colour-accurate monitor? Q2) I mean say If I am using Windows/Ubuntu or MacBook Air connected via USB-C will I actually see any benefit while browsing the web, Opening random IDE's or watching say videos on youtube Udemy or Netflix? Q3) Is a High refresh rate actually better for the eyes? I don't see how it helps when I debugging code or just going through docs/pdfs or chatgpt Q4) Some monitors like Lenovo on this list have 6-bit panels and for others, I can't get enough information is it true 8-bit panel is almost always better than 6-bit + FRC? or it's not as simple
  2. My Phone is fine no issues the error is easy to reproduce you can try
  3. Yes, Android 13 5th April, 2023
  4. Hi all, I tried raising the issue on Twitter but seems like no one from Google cares about a random tweet so anyway.. Here is the issue, The screen just freezes/hangs We cannot open new apps or switch apps but in the background/running apps send notifications and work but the screen is unresponsive and stuck The way to reproduce the issue 1) Zoom or Any other app that allows picture-in-picture or display over apps as allowed now minimise Zoom or any other apps could be even Disney Hotstar etc your video/ call will be playing and running in the background 2) Now open any other app say 9gag, Google Photos, or Microsoft Teams say a video or gif is playing and boom the screen freezes when you try to maximise Zoom or Disney Hotstar etc You can still listen to the audio call or listen to the movie playing but the screen is hung/stuck Waiting for 10 minutes has no effect, the only solution seems to reboot the device after holding the power button for 30 seconds. This issue seems to be PIxel specific cause my old One Plus 6 does not have the same issue
  5. Hi all, So currently I own the following config: CPU: Ryzen 5 3500 Case: Cooler Master NR600 with ODD Motherboard: ASRock B450 Pro4 PSU: Cooler Master Master Watt 550 80+Broze PSU Graphics Card: Galax RTX 2060 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM (8GBx2) 3200Mhz SSD: Crucial 500GB M.2 HDD: 2TB Toshiba HDD I plan to move to ITX cause want to reduce space, its easier to move around when I am shifting houses... The usage is mostly basic coding python3, C++, learning Javascript(then react js) Learn basics of photo editing, video editing Gaming -> Some games I play Battlefield, Age of Mythology, Witcher 3, Darksiders, God of War, Yakuza etc... Budget: INR Rs.50000 or USD 600-700 lesser the better. Now my current PC is fine except for a few bad frame drops in battlefield it does the job, for my coding needs it more than enough, but when I was using handbrake to stitch 2 videos and get them in a format it was taking 1+ hours I am not going do some Pro stuff just follow tutorials from SkillShare or Udemy but for basic learning which CPU would be a good bet? The configuration I have in mind is: Case: Cooler Master NR200 (non tempered glass) CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X (the 5700G are low on cache so I am not sure how well they will perform any other suggestions) Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS Pro AX PSU: Cooler Master SFX V550 80+ Gold (Is this bad choice or should I stick to 650 watt units from other brands?) RAM, SSD, HDD, Graphics card from old build. My concern is the PSU(gigabyte incident) a bit concerned if the Cooler Master SFX is a good choice cant find many reviews for them.... Is 550 watts good enough? I will never be buying a 3080 or 4080 will stick with this card for the next 2 years as I have plenty of old games to play for the processor I am not sure If I have any choice given my budget intel motherboards are very expensive.. I was thinking about getting an after market cooler Noctua NH-C14s as its easily available (the Scythe cooler are just not available here) based on a few google searches fits the NR200 fine I wont be overclocking much or if performance is adequate not at all given this condition is the NH-C14s a good choice? I am aware that my upgrade path is not present as AMD may come with a new Socket but at the current budget I don't have many choices anyway.... What do you guys think of the build?
  6. I tried perfgraph the CPU has a few large spikes and frames drop during that time, the GPU just does not seem to be doing much, Its the cpu having big spikes. Is this due to the CPU running at high temps or is the CPU bottlenecking the GPU? The spikes dont happen frequently, they just happen a few times but the frames can drop as low as 25 fps.
  7. The ASRock B450Pro4 supports 5600x adter Bios flash, and has good vrm cooling based on reviews, it shoyld handle the 5600X fine right?
  8. This is getting scary of its a PSU issue not sure how much I can sell this for and get a 650 or 750 watt I may need to replace the UPS as well.. , I have looked lockdown here so cant clean the pc or get additional fans. As of now can only check the fans are in wrong config. @SamClan I am running the game at1440p should I try at 1080p?? I will try the perfgraph suggestion, and yes I have stock cooler. I am looking at a Noctua cooler something thats not too big.. Also thinking about swapping the CPU with a 5600X? Is it a bad idea considering my PSU?
  9. I got this case after a gamers nexus review for good cooling. Even I am wondering whether I screwed up while building the pc. May be committed some first time builder mistake let me chekc the fan on case may be I put them wrongly.
  10. Is the CPU causing frame drops cause of temps or is it just a week CPU
  11. Agreed but is the cpu a bottleneck when it comes to performance. Should I atleast get a 3600? let me check chech the arrows on the fans just to be sure the back one is indeed an exhaust fan.
  12. Hi all I have the following configuration: Ryzen 5 3500 Galax 2060 Super ASRock B450 Pro4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 3200Mhz Cooler Master 550 watts Cooler Master NR600(1 fan in the front 1 on the back) The 2 fans are connected to motherboard fan headers and set to auto. My problem is with high temps on the GPU and CPU when playing games like Witcher 3 or Battlefield 1 on High settings I changed from 1440p to 1080p but the temps are still high and occasionally the frames drop from 100 to 30 or something... The temps on the GPU are 82C when playing the game they stay between 68-80C. The CPU just stays stuck at 80C and has gone close to 85C, all cores run at 3.9Ghz at times. I have not attempted overclocking the GPU or CPU. The CPU is close to a year old now should I sell it and get a 3600 or 5600X for better performance in games? Should I add more fans and an after market cooler for my CPU ? The idle temps of my CPU is around 58-60C. GPU idle temps are 38-43C
  13. Hmm will check it then do you suggest i do it in the case or remove the motherboard and do it outside?
  14. Might sound stupid, but I stay in India the place I stay the temp goes to 33-35°C during day(now a bit higher in April) and 25°C at night. I don't have an AC as well so may be hot place so hot temps? BTW not that I don't want to check the cooler but its just a bit of work and I don't have any thermal paste at hand. I will need to spend around Rs.220-250 on the paste as well for say something like a cooler master. Noctua, Arctic thermal paste are very expensive and am not sure how much better the Cooler Master(cheapest one) thermal paste will be compared to the preapplied one
  15. Yes Dual channel had no clue this game is so intensive
  16. Interesting will try your suggestion, Apart from that any idea about PBO etc any auto overclocks I can enable to get the most of the CPU?
  17. Yes I have. BTw is battlefield really that intensive? cause my GPU rarely was at 100% usage. In fact the memory usage on GPU stayed at 4GB maxx.
  18. It's at 52-60 when I have chrome with 8 tabs and a a bluetooth headset connected you really think its a thermal issue? I will do it after I buy the thermal paste. Still not a single core ever hits 4GHz, they advertised 4.1GHz , BTW I run my game at Ultra settings. I updated the BIOS on the AS Rock board as well.
  19. Hi all, So these are my specs. ASRock B450 Pro4 Ryzen 5 3500 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz Galax 2060 Super 8GB1-click-oc Crucial MX500 500GB 2TB HDD Toshiba P300 Acer XV272U Cooler Master NR 600(1 fan in-take 1 exhaust) Cooler Master MasterWatt 80+ Bronze. The issue is after running Cinebench R20 my CPU just never boosts to 4GHz even in Single Core test. Apart from that on very rare occasion at times I do get the system just being very laggy happens rarely(2-3 times since I built the PC about 3 weeks back) when I switch on the system. Now when it comes to games the only game I have run/played so far is Battlefield 1(a 2-3 year old game). If this was in an intensive scene and frame rate drops I understand like for eg bombs going off or fire or ton of soldiers shooting/moving. But for some reason frame rate drops to 38 FPS from 120-124 FPS. Next case is when I click campaign and the game starts up for the first time I have frame drops to 38 FPS initially and then after that the games works fine. In game the CPU stays at 88° C and 3825 MHz on all cores. atleast one core should boost to 4.1 or 4GHz but in my case that just does not seem to happen. My GPU temp does not exceed 72°C(I have fan blowing air on it though) Should I try ask for another CPU from AMD given that it's in warranty? Is my motherboard the culprit? Should I reapply thermal compound on CPU and replace thermal pads on the VRM on this motherboard, If yes can anyone share instructions on how to remove the heatsink/cooler of the VRM fro this board. Should I maybe mount a fan up top, so that it blows cooler air on processor or VRM? This is my first build, gaming on something above 25-30 FPS. Is anything wrong here or is my hardware only performing as good as it can?
  20. I am using the stock cooler. And yes when I ran Cinebench R20 on all core temps went upto 83°C. I had already ran single Core 2 times before the score was 450, 456. While applying the stock cooler that is screwing it in, the cooler did move a bit and was out of place not sure if something happened then. But when CPU is not running game the temp are around 56-65°C that is a few tabs opened up in chrome etc..
  21. Well I ran Cinebench R20, but I feel either I may have changed a setting or something somewhere when I opened Ryzen master or the BIOS. So thing is till now PC showed 3.8Ghz everywhere, opened Ryzen Master and hit reset it shows 4.1 there. Then Opened BIOS and hit load UEFI defaults and again changed the RAM to XMP profile 1. So here are the images The image which shows 3.6Ghz is after I hit load UEFI defaults. Even at 3.8Ghz everything was at Auto. I have not enabled PBO as I heard it may void warranty. I ran Cinebench after this and single thread score was 450. The processor hit 3988Mhz maxx at Ryzen Master so have I got a bad CPU or is the AS Rock B450 Pro4 the culprit here in some way should I update BIOS to the latest? What are the driver that my system should be having?
  22. Hi have not run cinebench r20 will run it but even in battlefield 1 all my cores were at 3800 or 3825 most of the time with 80°C temps my bios version is not the latest 1 new update is available but I am not sure whether to update, Is it stable or not so waiting a bit... I did have Ryzen Master installed anyway to check if I messed up something their or in the BIOS? If I rem. everything is left at Auto.
  23. Hi all so I am done with my brand new gaming PC, The issue is with the processor in Games say Battlefield 1 it does not go beyond 3.825Ghz on all core I have not once seen it 4 Ghz. I have an ASRock B450Pro4 motherboard. I have not overclocked any of the components. So the issue apart from that is the CPU goes upto 80C for battlefield 1. I play the game in Ultra 1920x1080@144hz Here are my specs Cooler master master watt 80+bronze PSU ASRock b450pro4 amd ryzen 5 3500 corsair Vengence 2x8gb 3200 mhz cl16 Galax 2060 super 8GB
  24. Thanks Guys its just that I have never seen anything like it before in any of Linus or anyone videos so was not sure about it. If its nothing to worry about then I am just going to ignore it.
