So I have an old DFI DK LANPARTY X48-T2RS motherboard, (https://www.cnet.com/products/dfi-dk-x48-t2rs-lanparty-motherboard-atx-lga775-socket-x48/)
And I found this cheap CPU on e-bay, which is surprisingly good for its price, 3.16GHz, 12MB Cache (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Xeon-X5460-3-16-GHz-Quad-Core-SLANP-EU80574KJ087N-Processor-w-Grease-/222327806610?hash=item33c3c51a92:g:sqwAAOSwMmBVxZWp)
And I found out that you can mod a LGA 775 mobo that will be able to accept LGA 771 CPUs.
Now I did some research and because of my motherboard being so old, I couldn't find any information of this specific CPU (Xeon X5460) working on this motherboard.
I'm new into this modding method and I don't know much about it, it would be nice of any of you people on this site replying back with an answer,
Will it work on my motherboard or not?
Thanks!
