Honestly you should just save up a little more money rather than spending the bear minimum to get a working desktop. If you save even 100 more euros you could get a pretty decent budget build. You should be shooting for a g4560 as it has hyperthreading making it more like anew i3.

You can store it in the cloud for synchronization across devices.

You can backup the database periodically.

The thing about remembering passwords is that people choose passwords that are either insufficient in complexity, or re-use passwords in mulitple locations. This also creates a single point of failure. It would be impossible to have a unique and strong password on every single site and be able to remember all of them.

    I dont use password managers.

I have tested Keepass at work and it does work. I've just never been a fan of giving my passwords to something else other than what the password is actually used for.

Reem1kTechTips reacted to colonel_mortis in Should I remove Java from my computer?
Java is used by quite a lot of programs, and for many of them it isn't obvious that the use it (until they break when you uninstall Java). There have historically been quite a few bugs in the Java Sandbox, but Java isn't exposed to websites any more unless you jump through some hoops, so it doesn't represent a security risk.
    Leave it on your computer.

Reem1kTechTips reacted to Mira Yurizaki in What is the difference between gaming motherboards and normal ones?
    No.

Motherboards have little, if any, impact on performance. A motherboard is just a communication back plane. There are some features that allow for things like better overclocking, but that still depends on if the CPU is up to snuff. Plus gaming motherboards may be worse for cooling purposes. Those heat sinks covering the chipset and VRMs aren't exactly the best designed ones.

If you head over to http://www.allsubscriptionboxes.co.uk/category/box/ it shows you all the boxes available online (that they know of i'm guessing).

I've never tried any of them but at first glance it would seem that there isn't a subscription box dedicated to just IT or Computers (gap in the market?) most seem to be Gaming or 'Nerd' Boxes based on Anime or Marvel / DC that sort of thing.

Reem1kTechTips reacted to phongle123 in 8gb or 16gb of ram
I've looked at about 3 youtube videos comparing 16 32 and 64 GB of ram. This is all for Rendering. If 16GB was base, going to 32 GB only gave a factor of 1.4x, and going to 64Gb gave a factor of 3.1x. 32GB just doesn't scale very good and should just be skipped and go straight for 64GB.

Reem1kTechTips reacted to Sauron in 8gb or 16gb of ram
That depends on which programs you use... of course, "ever" is a long time and saying you won't ever use more than 8 would be just silly. Whether you need more right now... if you need to ask the answer is probably no. And don't believe the memes about chrome, it uses everything it can for caching, that doesn't mean it NEEDS 64gb or something.

Don't skip the ssd if you can afford it.

This is not evidence of chrome or anything else needing more than 8gb of ram. What you're seeing is caching. Of course, caching has benefits, but not enough to warrant buying more ram if chrome and games are all you're running.
  23. Agree
Reem1kTechTips reacted to manikyath in 8gb or 16gb of ram
it offcourse seriously depends on your use case, for a lot of people 4GB even still suffices, but for most cases, this is how i word it:

8GB is enough, but 16GB is best described as "comfortable".

just like driving to and from work in a lada niva is enough to get you from A to B, but a mercedes C class is "comfortable" to get from A to B.

In that case I would get the 480, it's faster than the 1060 3GB and has the extra GB of ram which will come in handy.
