  1. you don't need to solder to all 4 contacts, on a micro switch 2 contacts on each side are connected(see paint image) you just have to figure out what 2 contacts to solder too. A multi meter in continuity does that.
  2. If you have a multimeter you can test the battery. A CR2032 should measure 3.5v-2.5v, if its close to or below 2.5v you should replace it.
  3. Did you work through all the other suggestions? Also i just noticed on the picture you posted there is no battery installed on the motherboard. It should not make a difference but i'd put one in just in case.
  4. What about remote desktop, its not exactly 'running' on android but it should let you use windows on a phone.
  5. This never even crossed my mind. If the mouse is still within its warranty period you should definitely contact logitech to get it replaced.
  6. I cant find a single device that will do what you need. your best bet is a usb c dongle with hdmi and usb out going to a normal hdmi kvm. Usb c dongle https://www.amazon.com/Qidoou-Multiport-Converter-Compatible-Chromebook/dp/B07KMC3DTL/ Hdmi kvm https://www.amazon.com/Switch-HDMI-1080P-Supported-Cables/dp/B07MNBM8TJ/ If you really need usb 3 on the kvm there's this one but its pricey https://store.level1techs.com/products/kvm-switch-single-monitor-model
  7. I think this is what you want. l76BsI7Y65.mp4
  8. No, anthem's only available on premium. This is whats included with basic: https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/browse?fq=subscriptionGroup:vault-games&sort=rank desc
  9. Use rufus to create your bootable usb. During the installation when asked what installation type you want select 'Erase disk and install linux mint'. This will delete everything, so if there a files you want to keep back them up first. When the install has finished if the problem persists remove the usb drive, go into the bios, reset to factory settings then make sure the HDD is at the top of the boot priority list. Also why are you using 17.1? the current version 19.1. Unless you have a specific reason i highly recommend the most up to date version of the os. 10. I doesn't really matter, both cables are rated far higher than either devices usage. But since the power supply uses more power i'd go 13A to power supply, 10A to the monitor.
  11. Like most complex systems each liquid will have its pros and cons. But because of the small scale any differences in performance will me minor. I think the size, shape and composition of the wicking material will play a bigger part in the performance than the liquid used. If you're the engineering type and want to learn way more about heat pipe design here's a 500 page text book on the subject. 12. I did some searching around, i couldn't find anyone offering replacements. If you can find a cheap faulty one on ebay you could use it's parts to replace to top plastic housing.
  13. You can just short the pins together with a screwdriver
  14. If your looking for software to clone your drive crucial offers a version of acronis true image to use with there ssd's. I've not used this specific version but the regular version works well, i assume the only difference is this crucial version only works when copying to/from a crucial drive. 15. The button inside will need replacing. There's no quick fix, but if you know how to solder it can be done. Here's a guide.
  16. 1 long beep and 2 short is a memory problem according to google(1 long 3 short is vga). I've took a look at you boards manual the MEMok led should go off after boot, It only stays lit when it detects a problem. Basic memory troubleshooting: Clear cmos Try all 4 slots Blow out the and dust in the slots Clean the contacts on the memory module Test the memory in a different computer Try different memory Memory problems can also be caused by bad connection on the cpu. Take the cpu out and check for missing/damaged/bent pins, if you don't see any problems put it back in give it a good wiggle and move the socket lever back and forth a few times to loosen the contacts and remove any oxide layer. Clear cmos instructions for your board.
  17. In the unlikely even amd stops supplying boot kits here's some alternatives from amds support page. Update from Retailer If the motherboard was purchased through a computer parts retailer, check with the retailer to see if they can facilitate the BIOS update at their location. There may be a charge for this, or it may be offered at no cost. If you have access to a processor supported on the current installed BIOS, use it to perform the BIOS update, then swap out the processors when the update process is complete. For a list of supported processors per BIOS version, please refer to the CPU Support List document available on the motherboard manufacturer's website. BIOS download and installation instructions are also found on their website. If these workarounds are not feasible, please see the sections below for a solution. BACK TO TOP Original Manufacturer Replacement The Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of the motherboard will support affected end users with an RMA exchange for a compatible motherboard, upon request. Affected end users are recommended to contact their local representative for the motherboard manufacturer to exchange their motherboard.
  18. I also recommend scdkey i've had over 10 keys off them and have never had one go bad. win 10 home https://www.scdkey.com/software/win-pc-10-home-oem_1379-20.html win 10 pro https://www.scdkey.com/microsoft-windows-10-pro-oem-cd-key-global_1227-20.html
  19. posted this in your other thread, internal usb header adapter without any cable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/9Pin-Motherboard-to-Double-Layer-Adapter-2-Ports-USB2-0-A-Female-Internal-Header/303158696605?epid=0&hash=item4695aa9a9d:g:bXcAAOSw6lpcf5Cn
  20. its not msata its slim sata. you don't need a custom cable, just add a usb header adapter to the motherboard and use a standard usb to slim sata cable. i like the locking type but if space is limited theres also right angle ones. usb adapter https://www.ebay.com/itm/9Pin-Motherboard-to-Double-Layer-Adapter-2-Ports-USB2-0-A-Female-Internal-Header/303158696605?epid=0&hash=item4695aa9a9d:g:bXcAAOSw6lpcf5Cn slim sata usb cable https://www.ebay.com/itm/Slim-SATA-to-USB-2-0-Adapter-Converter-Cable-For-Laptop-CD-DVD-Optical-Drive-ODD/272097621931?hash=item3f5a4837ab:g:ZTEAAOSwX~dWjg3q
  21. Most tasks in cad software are still single core so i would prioritise frequency over core count. i also recommend sticking with nvidia for the gpu as most cad software is validated and optimised for quadros, but because you dont have the budget for a quadro a gtx/rtx is a good alternative as they have a similar ish architecture. With your budget I recommend a 9700k and a RTX 2070.
  22. It may not boot, it may boot but be unstable. The majority of the cpu's on the compatibility list will work with the earliest bios, so just don't buy an incompatible one. the bios version is listed with the cpu on this list.
  23. any i5 will be fine there's also some zeons that would work well. But i'm not doing the leg work for you, you've got the list of compatibly chips its up to you to find the best deal on ebay. just make sure its compatible with the earliest bios 7923v20 since you don't know what bios is on the board.
