  1. 1: Tool boxes or other options All my tech stuff is getting a bit out of hand and I tried looking for a toolbox or something to put it all in.... but one of the major problems I am finding is tool boxes don't seem to have the small parts trays like they use to for storing screws and such. I know linus has shown off his backpack in a video a while ago.... but maybe a video on an actual tool box and/or what other people at LTT to for their tech kits 2: Kinda a pimp my setup type thing Other than a graphics card and case my computer is pretty good.... but my mic, webcam and most of all my displays (one of them has a TON of dead pixels) and desk could REALLY use an upgrade. In the past I have had no problem just throwing my hat in to a giveaway.... but this last year with everything being so screwed up I haven't even tried because I know there are a lot of people that suddenly NEED a computer for working at home or schooling - And I just really need the peripherals.
  2. I have a ryzen 7 1800X and have had a couple of my fans go out... my system stayed cool enough to keep gaming while the fans were out - BUT this system was a LOT of money so I try to keep all 6 of my fans going. (I was also running an air cooled CPU cooler at the time - I have switched to an AIO since) I am running a 120GB SSD for my OS, with all my programs and drivers installed on it. I do how ever run the virtual memory and temp files on another hard drive, my games on yet another hard drive and my saved files spread across yet another hard drive and a flash drive. Excluding my games I am using a total of around 240GB(ish) so a 500GB will probably be fine - but anything you do NOT what to lose if the hard drive crashes I would have on a separate hard disk and/or make backups (flash drives/CDs/DVDs/cloud storage) I have messed around with photo shop and it worked fine..... but I was doing VERY newbie things in photo shop so no idea if it gets more resource intensive with more advanced tools. MineCraft works fine as well as other newer titles - when it comes to video games it is usually the graphics card that is the bottle neck from my experience. If you can go with wired internet I would VERY MUCH recommend that over wifi.... but the only card I know of that was any good is no longer sold. Everything else I can't really help you with... I have never even tried the default cooler since windows 95.
  3. Oh ok Yah.. I'm not trying become a know it all about keyboards and mice... I didn't even know there was a difference between claw/palm grip mice until a couple years ago I got a mouse that really hurt to use because it was palm grip and I am a claw grip person.
  4. Wow, both those are way more than I am looking for.... but the closest so far. (Just need the budget to afford one of them if I can't find something with less flash haha)
  5. Seems like finding a keyboard these days is an impossible task.
  6. The one on my mouse is just fine.... but I have it secured with velcro at the top of the desk so that when I am pulling it towards myself I don't feel the weight of the cable since all the cable I need is already at the top of the desk. I guess this has the added effect of making sure the cable isn't being dragged across the corner of the desk. PS: I am looking for a new keyboard... hopefully with braided cable.. but that isn't required. hahaha
  7. Aren't blues and reds the easiest to press.. and black the hardest to press? Normal press keys work just fine for me... I don't think you have to go from one extreme to the other. XD Also, shameless plug... I am also looking for a keyboard recommendation:
  8. I am having trouble finding a good 10 keyless keyboard. (Or I think also known as a 70%?) What I am looking for: Has "F" keys... I don't know what so many 10 keyless don't have the F row. Backlit (doesn't have to be RGB or changeable/addressable... just NOT a weak light or breathing) Double shot keycaps with clear letters (not sure if they come any other way, but I want the back light to glow/shine through the letters) If not a braided cable... a solid one. (I have my current keyboard cable electrical taped to the keyboard because it is falling off) Non-clicky standard layout.. I use the windows key and the ?right click key? (not sure what they one is called) and the arrow, home, up/down and so on keys. What I HOPE will also be included: Media and/or macro keys (to the left side or above the F keys) detachable cable, like USB C USB hub built in I don't care about deck flex or for the most part what kind of keys (as long as they aren't needlessly clicky or hard to push down) I haven't had a keyboard with super easy to press down keys, but as I am gaming most the time that would probably be a problem if the keys can't hold my fingers simply resting on them. If anyone can help me find this, that would be really nice.... I feel bad posting for this as almost all of these things should be basic standards for keyboards these days (not even just gaming keyboards... standard keyboards for that matter)....... but I just can't find them all in one 10 keyless keyboard for some reason.
  9. well they are missing the sort by price and the search by switch type seems to be bugged.... but at least i can sort by 10keyless keyboards. thanks man
  10. Any one know a website that gives you more filter options for keyboards then newegg?
  11. damn, guess i will either need to get a bigger desk or smaller monitors then.
  12. I have been looking threw the forum to see what other people are recommending but can't find one that matches what I am looking. I don't care if it has the arrow keys or not. and if a cherry MX i would like it to be red or brown... probably brown. and backlight i want bright and to be able to easily tell where the home keys are... usually best way for that is to have the back light show threw the letter/numbers on the caps. also a wired keyboard as this will be used for normal computing not a media computer. and lastly shameless link to my display problem: (im probably going to have to get smaller displays) :'(
  13. well they look convincing, ill have to check out some reviews. wonder if i can find a directional antenna that attaches to normal cards? BTW, shameless promotion of my other topic no ones seems to know any thing about:
  14. The card that i see recommended most is a USB card so not sure if it is really the best: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833381014&Tpk=GAMEBASE&IsVirtualParent=1
