  1. Yeah the 1080p ones were the ones available for me and honestly I do enjoy them. Which is why I was thinking of upgrading to a 4k one for gaming and movies. Good to know would save a lot of money that way if I just stick to one anyways lol.
  2. I wasn't expecting someone to have nearly the exact same ones I have hahah. Thanks! Yeah I was debating between that SLI two 1080's or eventually just upgrading to one of the new cards in a few years. It is by no means something I plan on doing soon anyways.
  3. How very helpful and relevant to my question thank you
  4. So I currently have a 2 monitor setup a 32" 1080p60 and a 24" 1080p60. To be more specific I guess this is my current main monitor http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32MP58HQ-P-led-monitor The 24" is just used for twitch streams or discord while I'm in game so it's of no consequence really. My specs are a 6800k, a GTX 1080 with plan to get another for SLI. So I'm pretty sure my pc could handle the 4k resolution. The one I'm currently looking at is http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/lg-electronics-lg-27-4k-ultra-hd-60hz-14ms-ips-led-monitor-27ud68-w-aus-silver-white-27ud68-w-aus/10408486.aspx? which is also an LG which would make my OCD pleased lol but not necessary. Also that would be my max budget. It would need to be from bestbuy as that's the Store I can easily return it. Or something reliable enough that I won't need to return it lol. My other 2 monitors were bought in store with the warranty plan. With zero issues either. I need something reliable given my location so the high end Predators and ROG Swift are great and all but I won't play the panel lottery when it'd take weeks to get a new one. Frankly at that price that they are that shouldn't even be an issue. If I were to get a new one the current main would be used as a PS4 monitor and then the 4k as my new main monitor for gaming and netflix. As for which games I play the most, it's definitely RPG's like primarily Mass Effect Andromeda for the foreseeable future lol. Also some shooters like GR Wildlands. So the question is would it be worth it to upgrade to the 4k? or stay at my current setup?
  5. Well since Im someone who doesnt really care about the refresh rates. 60hz is perfect for me. How it displays whats on screen was the most important. The detail and the color accuracy. I had a TN for 6 years and couldnt believe I stuck with it for so long after seeing how much better the colors look on an IPS. Im never going back so its definitely IPS > TN Though mind you I stayed away from the AU Optronics panels aka the high end monitors. I got a mid range priced LG 32 and 24 and they look fantastic. No bleeding or stuck/dead pixels. Just pure awesomeness lol for a very affordable price.
  6. I might overclock in the next processor once they come out. Right now I can't be too sure. I would want optimal performance but not necessarily near perfect performance I guess. I'm in Canada and I'm having the pc built by NCIX. I picked the Noctua because budget isn't an issue in terms of the cooler and I've heard very good reviews about the brand so it was an easy choice in that regard.
  7. Ok thats good, how much perfomance? I don't plan on Overclocking the processor much if at all and the pc is located in a cool area to begin with. So heat isn't my biggest issue or concern.
  8. Oh my fear of Water Cooling is because of my Electrical Engineering background. Any moisture or potential of a leak is bad for business so it's been ingrained in me that liquids should be as far as possible from an electrical components.
  9. Alright so I am planning on ordering a pc. I was going to get an AIO (Corsair H115I to be specific) even though I really don't trust water or any fluid anywhere near my 4k$ pc. I'm going to temporarily have a 6800k until new 7th gens come out that fit the socket for my motherboard. I researched into it and found the Noctua NH D15 I like it despite it's...color lol. I'm just wondering if it will fit the ram I want and still have room or should I just suck it up and get the water cooler? Despite the risk of it leaking onto my pc which is my biggest fear. I am going to be getting the Corsair 780t along with the Asus X99 ATX ROG Strix mobo. I know the cooler will fit the board or at least from what I've read it should. I'm getting an Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 for it. I want to know if there's enough clearance for it or will I lose a slot? I'm planning to SLI the 1080's in the future. I was going to get 2 1060's since my friend had them but after being told they can't be sli'ed it makes a lot of sense for the issues he's been having lol. Also for the ram I want the G.Skill Trident Z RGB, going to get 32gb in total and I want to know if that will fit or will be blocked by the D15 like I've read plenty of people having issues. Also please note I am getting this built by NCIX so anything out of there won't work and before you say I should build it myself. I prefer having it built because frankly I trust them more than myself.
  10. Thanks you two :). I figured it shouldnt make difference as long as its not too long but just wanted to make sure.
  11. I have a corsair void wired and absolutely love it. Its comfortable and the sound is great. Im not looking to get a new one but, The cord for it is annoyingly short. I was wondering if a usb extendee would make the quality worse if attached to it. It wouldn't be anything drastic just likely 2-3 feet longer.
  12. yeah I was primarily thinking the swift seems like it's the best option out there. I can afford it no problem it's more so not sure about spending that much on a monitor lol
  13. Nah I live about 12 hours from the border. I can shop on american sites it's just I wouldnt want to be suggested a 1200$ usd monitor when its 1500 canadian lol
  14. So I have an i7 6800k with 2 1060's running on SLI. I want to upgrade from my old BenQ monitor. It's a tn but I'm looking to go to some HDR 4k monitor or possibly a 144hz one not too sure if I should jump on the 4k wagon just yet lol. My budget would likely be around 600$-1000$ I'd really rather not spend 1k on a single monitor because I'm looking to go with multiple monitors but still wanting to know what's the best out there. I've looked at the Asus Rog and Acer predator but Im still unsure oh and it'd preferably be 27" or 24". Also keep in mind I'm Canadian so my budget would be in CAD
